Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge to the vehicle body and door. The door cannot be
adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts (w/washers) when
making adjustments.
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see STANDARD BOLT ).

a. Check that the clearance is within the standard range.
AREA MEASUREMENT REFERENCE STANDARD:
2.ADJUST LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the trim cover (see OVERHAUL
).
b. Horizontally and vertically adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.
AreaMeasurement
A3.5 +/- 1.5 mm (0.138 +/- 0.059 in.)
B3.5 +/- 1.5 mm (0.138 +/- 0.059 in.)
C6.0 +/- 3.0 mm (0.236 +/- 0.118 in.)

c. Remove the rear floor finish plate (see OVERHAUL
).
d. Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and hitting the striker
with a plastic-faced hammer.
e. Tighten the striker mounting screws after the adjustment.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 ft.lbf)

OVERHAUL

The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation

1.REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LAMP SERVICE COVER LH
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 clips and remove the cover.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3.REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the bezel.

4.REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMP ASSY NO.1
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the clip and remove the lamp.

a. Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips labelled A.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the 9 clips and cover.
