This chart is on the premise that the engine is cranked normally. If the engine is not cranked, proceed to the

1 READ VALUE OF HAND −HELD TESTER(STA SIGNAL)
(a) Connect the hand −held tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the hand −held tester ON.
(c) Select the item ”DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / DATA LIST / ALL / STARTER SIG” and read its value dis-
played on the hand −held tester.

ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the ignition switch is turned to ON, the positive battery voltage is applied to terminal IGSW of the ECM
and the EFI MAIN relay control circuit in the ECM sends a signal to terminal MREL of the ECM switching
on the EFI MAIN relay.
This signal causes current to flow to the coil, closing the contacts of the EFI MAIN relay and supplying power
to terminal +B of the ECM.
