HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
(a) Release the yellow part of the connector using a screwdriver.
(b) Insert a screwdriver tip between the connector and the base, and then lever up connector.

6. DISCONNECTION OF CONNECTOR FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSY
(a) Place a finger on the slider.
(b) Slide the slider to release lock.
(c) Disconnect the connector.
7. CONNECTION OF CONNECTOR FOR FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSY
(a) Align the lock part of the male connector and the slider of the female connector in the same direction
as shown in the illustration, connect them without rubbing together.
(b) Be sure to insert the connectors until they are locked. After connecting them, pull them slightly to check
that they are locked. (When locking, make sure that the slider returns to its original position and a click
sound can be heard.)
HINT:
When connecting them, the slider slides. Be sure not to touch the slider while connecting, as it may result
in an insecure fit.

8. DISCONNECTION OF AIRBAG FRONT SENSOR, SIDE
AIRBAG SENSOR AND AIRBAG SENSOR REAR CON-
NECTOR
(a) While holding both outer flank sides of the outer, slide the
outer to the direction shown by the arrow.
(b) When the connector lock is released, the connectors are
disconnected.
HINT:
Be sure to hold both outer flank sides. If the top and bottom
sides are held, it will obstruct disconnection.
9. CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS FOR AIRBAG FRONT SENSOR, SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR AND
AIRBAG SENSOR REAR
(a) Align the male connector (on the side of sensor) and female connector in the same direction as shown
in the illustration and connect them without rubbing together.
(b) Be sure to insert the connectors until they are locked. After connecting them, pull them slightly to check
that they are locked. (When locking, make sure that the outer returns to its original position and a click
sound can be heard.)
HINT:
When connecting them, the outer slides. Be sure not to hold the outer while connecting, as it may result in
an insecure fit.

HEATER ASSY
REPLACEMENT
1.REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSY (See page 11±82)
2.REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSY (See page 11±82) 3. REMOVE AIR DUCT NO.3
(a) Release the claw fitting and remove the bolt and the en-gine room relay No.2 block.
(b) Remove the clip and the air duct No.3.
4. DISCONNECT HEATER INLET WATER HOSE
(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the heater inlet water hose.
HINT:
Prepare a support plate and waste to catch the leaked coolant.
5. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE A
(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the heater inlet water hose A.

Prepare a support plate and waste to catch the leaked coolant.

6. REMOVE HEATER ASSY
(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to
disconnect the heater fuel hose.
HINT:
Prepare a support plate and waste to catch the leaked fuel.
(b) Disconnect the connector.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts and the heater assy.
7. INSTALL HEATER ASSY
(a) Install the heater assy with the 2 bolts. Torque: 7.5 N m (76 kgf cm, 66 in. lbf)
(b) Connect the connector.
(c) Install the heater fuel hose.
HINT:
Prepare a support plate and waste to catch the leaked fuel.

3. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGEHOSE NO.1
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant discharge hose No.1 from the w/ receiver condenser
assy.
(b) Remove the O±ring from the cooler refrigerant discharge
hose No.1.
NOTICE:
Seal the opening of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape
to prevent moisture and foreign matters from entering.
4. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB±ASSY A
(a) w/o Hot gas heater: Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid tube sub±assy
A from the w/ receiver condenser assy.
(b) w/o Hot gas heater: Remove the O±ring from the liquid tube sub±assy A.
NOTICE:
Seal the opening of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape
to prevent moisture and foreign matters from entering.
(c) w/ LHD Hot gas heater: Disconnect the liquid tube sub±assy A assy from the liq-
uid tube sub±assy B.
(d) w/ LHD Hot gas heater: Remove the O±ring from the liquid tube sub±assy A.
NOTICE:
Seal the opening of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape
to prevent moisture and foreign matters from entering.

5. REMOVE DISCHARGE TUBE SUB±ASSY (W/ HOT GAS HEATER)
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the discharge tube
sub±assy from the w/ receiver condenser assy.
(b) Remove 2 O±rings from the discharge tube sub±assy.
NOTICE:
Seal the opening of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape
to prevent moisture and foreign matters from entering.
6. REMOVE LIQUID TUBE SUB±ASSY B (RHD(1CD±FTV) STEERING POSITION TYPE)
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid tube sub±assy B from w/ receiver condenser assy.
(b) Remove the O±ring from the liquid tube sub±assy B.
NOTICE:
Seal the opening of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape
to prevent moisture and foreign matters from entering.
7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSY
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and the hood lock assy.
