2. Use installation tool to pull front shaft fla nge (9) into dual tapered ball bearing (9n).
Ensure that the thrust washer (small, Part 03) (08c) is securely seated against the bearing's inside race during

4. Insert complete puller over i nner bearing race. Clamp tensioning pliers around upper grooves using
conical sleeve of puller.

1. Push supporting joint (7) out of steering knuckle using suitable tool.
Inspect
1Raise front of vehicle
2Check rubber boot (8f) for cracks and damage

Check play in follower joint (8) by firmly
pulling and pushing on the front wheel while
feeling the ball joint at the same time.
If inspection indicates that upper
control (6) arm should be replaced,
proceed as follows: ?
