2. INSPECT EFI MAIN RELAY
A. Inspect relay continuity
(a) Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity
between terminals 1 and 2.
(b) Check that there is no continuity between terminals 3
and 5.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
B. Inspect relay operation
(a) Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.
(b) Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity
between terminals 3 and 5.
If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.

1. INSPECT RELAY CONTINUITY
(a) Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity
between terminals ST and E1.
(b) Check that there is continuity between terminals +B
and FC.
(c) Check that there is no continuity between terminals +
B and FP.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
2. INSPECT RELAY OPERATION
(a) Apply battery voltage across terminals ST and E1.
(b) Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity
between terminals +B and FP.

(b) Disconnect the vacuum hose on the air intake cham±
ber side.
(c) Connect a voltmeter to terminals PIM and E2 of the
ECM, and measure the output voltage under ambient
atmospheric pressure.
(d) Apply vacuum to the MAP sensor in 13.3 kPa (100
