A: CHECK ENGINE MALFUNCTION

DIAGNOSIS:
The CHECK ENGINE malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)
circuit is open or shorted.
TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
When ignition switch is turned ON (engine OFF), MIL
does not come on.
