ROTOR INSTALLATION
install the rotor to the shaft so that rotor’s punch mark
is at the pump cover side.
SNAP RING INSTALLATION
(1) Install the snap ring with the snap ring plier.
(2) After installation of snap ring, lift the rotor and check
that the snap ring has entered the countersunk part .
CAM RING INSTALLATION
Install the cam ring with the punch mark facing the pump
cover.
VANE INSTALLATION
Install the vanes on the rotor, paying close attention to the
installation direction.

WAVE WASHER INSTALLATION
Fit tabs of the wave washer in concavities
to install the wave washer.of the sideplate

Fit protrusions of the pump housing gasket in conca vities
of the oil pump body to install the pump housing ga sket.
PULLEY INSTALLATION
Use the special tool to secure the pulley, and then install
the pulley lock nut.

INSPECTION
lCheck the flow control valve for clogging.
l Check the shaft for wear or
lCheck the groove of rotor and vane for “stepped” we ar.
l Check the contact surface of cam ring and vanes for
“stepped” wear.
l Check the vanes for damage.
CLEARANCE BETWEEN SHAFT AND OIL PUMP BODY
Use a caliper gauge and a micrometer to measure the dimen-
sions A and
Subtract value of from value of A to calculate
the clearance between shaft and oil pump body.

with a shop towel before removing of, the ‘hoses.

the suction connector.
