DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
INPUT SIGNAL INSPECTION POINTS
When Using the Scan Tool 1. Connect the scan tool to the data link connector .
Caution
Always turn the ignition switch OFF before discon-
necting or connecting the scan tool.
2. If buzzer of the scan tool sounds once when a sw itch
is operated (ON/OFF), the ECU input signal for that switch
circuit system is normal.
Using a Voltmeter
1.Use the special tool to connect a voltmeter between the
grounded terminal and the ETACS terminal of data link
connector.
2. If the voltmeter indicator deflects once when a switch
is operated (ON/OFF), the ECU input signal for that switch
circuit system is normal.
