IWrap a small screwdriver with vinyl tape and use it to insert the
valves into proper position.

Pressure regulator valve
IIf pressure regulator plug is not centered properly, sleeve can-
not be inserted into bore in upper body. If this happens, use
vinyl tape wrapped screwdriver to center sleeve until it can be
inserted.
ITurn sleeve slightly while installing.

Accumulator control plug
IAlign protrusion of accumulator control sleeve with notch in
plug.
IAlign parallel pin groove in plug with parallel pin, and install
accumulator control valve.

a. Install seal ring onto oil pump cover and install reverse clutch.
Apply compressed air to oil hole.
b. Check to see that retaining plate moves to snap ring.
c. If retaining plate does not contact snap ring,
ID-ring might be damaged.
IOil seal might be damaged.
IFluid might be leaking past piston check ball.

and snap ring.

springs.
IDo not expand snap ring excessively.
4. Remove spring retainer.

drum. While holding piston, gradually apply compressed air to
oil hole until piston is removed.
IDo not apply compressed air abruptly.
6. Remove D-ring and oil seal from piston.
