9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 10 claws and remove the moulding.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT NO.1
(a) Install the reinforcement with the 8 bolts.
Torque: 11.5 Nm (115 kgfcm, 16 ftlbf)
12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER
(a) Install the bumper cover with the 4 nuts, 2 screws and 3
clips.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (55 kgfcm, 49 in.lbf) for screw

REPLACEMENT
HINT:
The installation is in the reverse order of the removal. However, when there is a special point concerning
the installation, it is indicated.
1.REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
(a)Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 clips and finish plate.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2.REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX REAR (See page 76±54)
3.REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH (See page 76±54)

(a) Put protective tape under the quarter panel.
(b) Remove the 2 screws, 3 clips and 4 nuts.
(c) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 16 claws and removethe bumper cover.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT NO.1
(a) Remove the 8 bolts and reinforcement.
7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the side retainer.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER RETAINER UPPER LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the retainer upper.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER RETAINER UPPER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH
(a) Using screwdriver, remove the moulding.

13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT NO.1

14. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER
(a) Install the bumper cover with the 2 screws, 3 clips and 4
nuts.

REPLACEMENT
HINT:
The installation is in the reverse order of the removal.
On the RH side, use the same procedures as on the LH side.

(a) Put protective tape under the moulding.
(b) Using a screwdriver or moulding remover, pry out theclaws and remove the moulding.

REPLACEMENT
HINT:
The installation is in the reverse order of the removal.
1. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSY UPPER
(a) Remove the 4 clips and door trim panel.
(b) Remove the 4 hole plugs.
2. REMOVE REAR SPOILER
(a) Disconnect the stop lamp connector.
(b) Remove the 6 nuts and clip.
(c) Using a heat light, heat the spoiler.
Heating temprature: 40 ± 60C (104 ± 140F)
NOTICE:
Do not heat the spoiler excessively.
(d) Lightly lift the spoiler at the right end or the left end.
(e) Cut the tape.
(1) Tie both piano wire ends to a wooden block or simi-
lar object.
(2) Cut the tape by pulling the piano wire.
NOTICE:
If reusing the rear spoiler, take care not to damage it.
Be careful not to damage the back door.
(f) Remove the spoiler.
3. INSTALL REAR SPOILER
(a) Clean the surface on the back door where the spoiler is
to be attached.
(1) Using a heat light, heat the back door contact sur-
face.
Heating temprature: 40 ± 60C (104 ± 140F)
NOTICE:
Do not heat the back door excessively.

(2) Remove the tape from the back door.
(3) Wipe off the stains with cleaner.
(b) When reusing the spoiler:
Clean the spoiler.
(1) Using a heat light, heat the spoiler.
Heating temprature: 20 ± 30C (68 ± 86F)
NOTICE:
Do not heat the spoiler excessively.
(2) Remove the tape from the spoiler.
(3) Wipe off the stains with cleaner.
(c) Install the spoiler.
(1) Using a heat light, heat the door and spoiler.
Heating temperature:
Door40 ± 60C (104 ± 140F)
Spoiler20 ± 30C (68 ± 86F)
NOTICE:
Do not heat the door and spoiler excessively.
(2) Apply new double±sided tape to the spoiler, as
shown in the illustration.
(3) Remove the peeling paper from the spoiler.
NOTICE:
Be careful that dirt or foreign objects do not stick to the
adhesive part when removing the peeling paper.
(4) Install the spoiler with the 6 nuts.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (99 kgfcm, 87 in.lbf)
NOTICE:
Do not apply excessive force onto the spoiler. Instead, ap-
ply steady pressure with your thumbs.
(5) Connect the stop lamp connector.
(6) Install the 4 hole plugs.

REPLACEMENT
HINT:

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
3. REMOVE SIDE MUDGUARD FRONT LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws and mudguard.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and wheel house plate.
4. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE PLATE FRONT LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws and wheel house plate.
5. REMOVE ROCKER PANEL MOULDING LH
(a) Remove the 3 screws, 12 clips and moulding.
