REMOVAL POINTS
Piston
1. Remove:
Piston pin clips 1

NOTE:
Put identification marks on each piston head
for reference during reinstallation.
Before removing each piston pin, deburr the
clip groove and pin hole area. If the piston
pin groove is deburred and the piston pin is
still difficult to remove, use the piston pin
puller 4.
CAUTION:
Do not use a hammer to drive the piston
pin out.
Piston ring
1. Remove:
Piston rings
NOTE:
Spread the end gaps apart while at the same
time lifting the piston ring over the top of the
piston crown, as shown in the illustration.
INSPECTION
Cylinder and piston
1. Inspect:
Cylinder and piston walls
Vertical scratches → Replace cylinder
and piston.
2. Measure:
Piston-to-cylinder clearance

Measurement steps:
1st step:
Measure the cylinder bore “C” with a cylin-
der bore gauge.
NOTE:
Measure the cylinder bore “C” in parallel to
and at right angles to the crankshaft. Then,
find the average of the measurements.

HINWEIS:
Die Kolbenböden für den späteren
Wiedereinbau markieren.
Vor dem Ausbau des Kolbenbol-
zens die Ringnut und das Kolben-
bolzenauge entgraten. Läßt sich
der Kolbenbolzen auch dann nicht
problemlos herausziehen, den Kol-
benbolzen-Abzieher 4 verwen-
den.
ACHTUNG:
Niemals den Kolbenbolzen mit ei-
nem Hammer heraustreiben.
Kolbenring
1. Demontieren:

HINWEIS:
Die Enden spreizen und zur gleichen
Zeit den Kolbenring über den Kol-
benboden heben, wie in der Abbil-
dung gezeigt.

PRÜFUNG

Arbeitsschritte:
1. Schritt:
Zylinderbohrung “C” mit einem
Innenmikrometer messen.
HINWEIS:
Die Zylinderbohrung “C” parallel
zum und im rechten Winkel zur
Kurbelwelle messen. Danach den
Durchschnitt der Messung be-
stimmen.
POINTS DE DEPOSE

1. Déposer:
Agrafe d’axe de piston 1

N.B.:
Inscrire des repères d’identification
sur la tête de chaque piston pour pou-
voir les réinstaller ultérieurement au
bon endroit.
Avant de déposer chaque axe de pis-
ton, ébavurer la gorge d’agrafe et toute
la région du trou de l’axe. Si la gorge
de l’axe de piston est ébavurée et l’axe
de piston est toujours difficile à dépo-
ser, utiliser l’extracteur d’axe de pis-
ton 4.
ATTENTION:
Ne pas employer de marteau pour
chasser l’axe de piston.

1. Déposer:
Segments de piston
N.B.:
Ecarter largement les becs tout en soule-
vant en même temps le segment de pis-
ton au-dessus de la couronne de piston
comme montré sur l’illustration.

CONTROLE
Cylindre et piston
1. Contrôler:
Parois de cylindre et de piston
Rayures verticales → Rempla-
cer le cylindre et le piston.
2. Mesurer:
Jeu entre piston et cylindre
Etapes de la mesure:
1ère étape:
Mesurer l’alésage de cylindre “C”
au moyen d’une jauge d’alésage de
cylindre.
N.B.:
Mesurer l’alésage de cylindre “C” en
parallèle et à angle droit par rapport
au vilebrequin. Faire ensuite la
moyenne des valeurs obtenues.
PUNTOS DE EXTRACCIÓN

NOTA:
Coloque las marcas de identificación
en cada cabezal del pistón como refe-
rencia durante la instalación.
Antes de extraer cada bulón del pistón,
desbarbe la ranura del clip y la zona
del orificio del bulón. Si la ranura del
bulón del pistón ranura está desbar-
bada pero todavía resulta difícil
extraer el bulón del pistón, utilice el
extractor del bulón del pistón 4.
ATENCION:
No utilice un martillo para sacar el
bulón del pistón.
Aro del pistón
1. Extraer:
Aros del pistón
NOTA:
Extienda aparte las separaciones entre
puntas mientras levanta al mismo tiempo
el aro del pistón sobre la parte superior
de la corona del pistón, tal y como se
indica en la ilustración.

Paredes del cilindro y del pis-
tón
Arañazos verticales → Reem-
plazar el cilindro y el pistón.
2. Medir:
Holgura entre el cilindro y el
pistón
Pasos de medición:
Primer paso:
Mida el diámetro interior del cilin-
dro “C” con un calibre de interio-
res para cilindros.
NOTA:
Mida el diámetro interior del cilindro
“C” en paralelo y en ángulo recto al
cárter. A continuación, haga la media
de las mediciones obtenidas.

ton and rings as a set.
NOTE:
Clean carbon from the piston ring grooves and
rings before measuring the side clearance.

Insert a ring into the cylinder and push it
approximately 10 mm (0.39 in) into the cylin-
der. Push the ring with the piston crown so that
the ring will be at a right angle to the cylinder
bore.

Unvorschriftsmäßig → Kol-
ben (komplett) mit Kolben-
ringen erneuern.
HINWEIS:
Vor der Messung des Ringnutspiels
die Ölkohleablagerungen an Kolben-
ring und Ringnuten entfernen.
2. Montieren:
Kolbenring
(in Zylinderbohrung)
HINWEIS:
Den Ring etwa 10 mm (0,39 in) in
den Zylinder hineinschieben. Dazu
den Kolbenboden verwenden, damit
der Ring rechtwinklig im Zylinder
sitzt.

3. Messen:
Stoßspiel
Unvorschriftsmäßig → Kol-
benring erneuern.
HINWEIS:
Das Stoßspiel der Ölabstreifring-Ex-
panderfeder kann nicht gemessen
werden. Wenn die Spannringe star-
ken Verschleiß aufweisen, müssen
alle drei Ringe erneuert werden.

l’enfoncer à environ 10 mm (0,39 in)
dans le cylindre. Pousser le segment
avec la couronne de piston de sorte que
le segment se trouve perpendiculaire-
ment par rapport à l’alésage de cylindre.

3. Mesurer:

Hors spécifications → Rempla-
cer.
N.B.:
Il est impossible de mesurer l’écartement
des becs de la bague extensible du seg-
ment racleur d’huile. Si les rails du seg-

écartés, remplacer les trois segments.

cualquier depósito de carbonilla exis-
tente en ranuras y aros del pistón.

tro del cilindro. Empuje el aro con la
corona del pistón de forma que esté en

then inspect the lubrication system.

Onto the piston.
NOTE:
Be sure to install the piston rings so that the
manufacturer’s marks or numbers are
located on the upper side of the rings.
Lubricate the piston and piston rings liberally
with engine oil. Measurement steps:
Measure the outside diameter (piston pin)
