9. Après avoir serré l’écrou, vérifier si le mouve-
ment de la direction est régulier. Sinon, régler
la direction en desserrant petit à petit l’écrou.

rage excessif peut compromettre le bon fonction-

9. Nach dem Festziehen der Mutter den
Lenkkopf auf Leichtgängigkeit prüfen . Bei
Schwergängigkeit die Lenkerringmutter
stufenweise lösen und nachstellen.
10. Einstellen:

11. Festziehen:

Die untere Gabelbrücke vorschriftsmäßig
festziehen. Nicht zu fest anziehen, um die
Funktion der Teleskopgabel nicht zu beein-
trächtigen.

INSPECTION
Wash the bearings, bushings, collars, and cov-
ers in a solvent.
Swingarm
1. Inspect:

Free play exists/unsmooth revolution/rust
→ Replace bearing, bushing and collar as
a set.
2. Inspect:

Damage → Replace.

Roulement et bague
1. Déposer:

Roulement 1

Bague (bras oscillant) 2
Du bras oscillant.
N.B.:
Retirer la bague en la poussant.
2. Déposer:

Roulement 1
Du bras relais et de la bielle.
N.B.:
Enlever le roulement en appuyant sur la cage
externe.
CONTROLE
Nettoyer les roulements, les bagues, les collerettes
et les caches dans du solvant.
Bras oscillant
1. Contrôler:

Roulement 1

Bague 2

Collerette 3
Jeu/rotation irrégulière/rouille → Remplacer le
roulement, la bague et la collerette dans leur
ensemble.
2. Contrôler:

Bague d’étanchéité 4
Endommagement → Remplacer.

Lager und Buchse
1. Ausbauen:

Lager 1

Buchse (Schwinge) 2
von der Schwinge.
HINWEIS:
Buchse durch Drücken entfernen.
2. Demontieren:

Lager 1
von dem Umlenkhebel und dem Übertra-
gungshebel.
HINWEIS:
Zur Lagermontage den äußeren Laufring ein-
pressen.
KONTROLLE
Lager, Buchsen, Hülsen und Abdeckungen in
Lösungsmittel waschen.
Schwinge
1. Kontrollieren:

Lager 1

Buchse 2

Hülse 3
Spiel/Schwergängigkeit/Rost → Lager,
Buchse und Hülse komplett erneuern.
2. Kontrollieren:

Dichtring 4
Beschädigung → erneuern.

1. Inspect:

Bearing (polylube bearing) 2

Free play exists/unsmooth revolution/rust
→ Replace bearing and bushing as a set.
2. Inspect:

Bearing (polylube bearing) 2
Loss of solid lubrication → Replace.

Oil seal 4
Damage → Replace.
NOTE:
Polylube bearings, with solid lubrication, have
been adopted with the intent to make the nee-
dle bearings, used in this model, maintenance
free. With polylube bearings, no grease nipple
and regular lubrication is necessary. However,
grease should be applied to all oil seals and
collars when removed or installed.
Connecting rod
1. Inspect:

Bearing 1

Bushing 2
Free play exists/unsmooth revolution/rust
→ Replace bearing and bushing as a set.
2. Inspect:

Oil seal 3
Damage → Replace.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
Bearing, bushing and oil seal
1. Install:

Bearing 1

To swingarm.
NOTE:

Apply the molybdenum disulfide grease on
the bearing and bushing when installing.

Install the bearing by pressing it on the side
having the manufacture’s marks or numbers.

First install the bushing and then the bearing
to a specified depth from inside.
Installed depth of bearings and
bushings:
Bearing a: 4.5 mm (0.18 in)
Bushing b: 4.5 mm (0.18 in)
