Taillights (Sedan)
Replacement
Tsillight:
1. Open the trunk lid, then remove the r€ar panel lin-
ing and side lining (see section 20).
2. Disconnect the 4-P connector from the tsillight.
3. Remove the four mounting nuts, then pull out the
tsillight.
TAILLIGHT
INNER TAILLIGHT
4-P CONi{ECTOR
Innol Taillight:
1. Open the trunk lid.
2. Disconnect the 4-P connector from the inner taillight.
3. Remova the four mounting nuts, then pull out theinner taillight.
NOTE:
a Inspect the gasket. Replace it if it is distoned or stsys
compresseo.
a After installation, run water over the lights to make
sure thev don't leak.

Bulb Replacement
Tsillight:
1. Open the trunk lid. then remove the rear panel lin-
ing and side lining {see section 20}.
2. Remove the bulb from the bulb socket.
lnnor T.illlght:
1. Open the trunk lid, then remove the bulb housing.
2. Remove the bulb from the bulb housing.

License Plate Lights
Replacement
Remov€ the screws and pull out th6 license platelights.
Turn the bulb socket 45o counterclockwise to re-move it from the housing.

Glove Box Light
Test
Remove the glove box and disconnect the 2-p con-neclor.
Check for continuity between the A and B terminals
in each condition according to the table.

Controller Input Test
NOTE: 8e careful not to damage the controller and the
instrument panal.
1. Remove the instrument panel lrom the dsshboard
{see page 23-1181.
2. Remove the dash lights b.ightness controller {rom
the dashboard. then disconnect the 3-P connector.
Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be
sure they are all making good contact.
a lf the terminals are bent. loose o. corroded, repsir
them as necessary, and recheck the system.
a It the terminals look OK, make the tollowing in-
Dut tests at the connector.- lf any test indicates a problem, find and cor-
rect the cause, then recheck the system.- lf all the input tests prove OK, the dash lights
brightness controller must be faulty; replace it.

2. Pry off the lens.
3, Remove the two screws, then pull out the housing.
