The sound may come and go or be heard all thetime when the vehicle is moving. It may also be heard when the brake pedal is pushed down firmly. Excessive rotordamage will result if the worn pads are not replaced. See your Hyundai dealer immediately.

Fuel Filter Warning Light (Diesel Engine)
This light illuminates when the engine has started and goes off after a fewseconds. If it lights up while the engine is running, it indicates that water has accumulated inside the fuel filter. If thishappens, remove the water from the fuel filter. (Refer to "6-27 page")

The needle on the engine coolant tem- perature gauge should stay in the nor-mal range. If it moves across the dial to "H" (Hot), pull over and stop as soon as possible and turn off the engine. Thenopen the bonnet and, after the engine has cooled, check the coolant level and the water pump drive belt. If you sus-pect cooling system trouble, have your cooling system checked by a Hyundai dealer as soon as possible.
B330A02A-AAT Tachometer The tachometer registers the speed of your engine in revolutions per minute (rpm).

The engine should not be raced to such a speed that the needle entersthe red zone on the tachometer face. This can cause severe engine dam- age and may void your warranty.

B340A01A-DAT COMBINATION TURN SIGNAL, HEADLIGHT AND HIGH-BEAMSWITCHTurn Signal Operation Pulling down on the lever causes the turn signals on the right side of the car to blink. Pushing upwards on the levercauses the turn signals on the left side of the car to blink. As the turn is com- pleted, the lever will automatically re-turn to the centre position and turn off the turn signals at the same time. If either turn signal indicator light blinksmore rapidly than usual or goes on but does not blink, or does not go on at all, there is a malfunction in the system.Check for a burned-out fuse or bulb or see your Hyundai dealer.

B340C01CM-DAT Headlight Switch To operate the headlights, turn the bar- rel on the end of the multi-functionswitch. The first position turns on the parking lights, sidelights, tail lights and instrument panel lights. The secondposition turns on the headlights. NOTE: The ignition must be in the "ON" position to turn on the headlights. Parking Light Auto Cut
o The purpose of this feature is to
prevent the battery from being dis- charged. The system automatically turns off the headlights and parking lights when the driver removes theignition key and opens the driver- side door.
o With this feature, the parking light will be turned off automatically if thedriver parks on the side of road at night.If necessary, to keep the lights on when the ignition key is removed, perform the following :
1) Open the driver-side door.
2) Turn the parking lights OFF andON again using the light switch on the steering column.
