ECONO-asento Kiiyttiikiiii tiitii asentoa kosteuden ollessa alhainen. Se on taloudellinen, koska ilmastointilaitteen kompressori toimii vain tarvittaessa.
A/C-asento Kiitevii silloin kun kosteuspitoisuus on kortea tai silloin kun on hyvin kuuma. IImastointiiaitteen kompressori toimii

4-Set the air conditioner switch knob to the ECONO-position or A/C-position to operate the air conditioner. If the engine is idling, the idling speed will automatically be increased. When the air conditioner is not in use, place the switch in
the OFF position.
ECONO-position Use this position when the humidity is low. It is economical because the air conditioner compressor operates only when necessary.
A/C-position Effective when the humidity is high or when it is very hot.
The air conditioner compressor operates for cooling.

(1) To effectively demist, direct the air flow from the side
ventilators toward the door windows and close the centre
venti lators .. Be sure to place the air selection lever at the (Q)
position. (2) At the foot and foot/face positions, a small amount of air will be directed to the windshield and e front door windows.

Notes concerning air conditioner operation EH04J-La
(1) Park the vehicle in the shade. Parking under the hot sun will make the vehicle interior extremely hot, and it will require more time to cool the interior . If it is necessary to park in the sun, open the windows for the first few minutes of air conditioner operation to expel the hot air. (2) Close the windows when the air conditioner is in use. The
entry of outside air through open windows will reduce th e cooling efficiency. (3) If the air conditioner seems less effective than usual, the
probable cause might be a refrigerant leak.
Check the system at an authorized MITSUBISHI dealer and recharge refrigerant if necessary .
Operation hints The air conditioner not only cools the air, but also dehumidifies it, thus offering greater comfort. Too much cooling is not good for the health . The air tempera ­
ture should only be 5 to 6 'C (9 to 11 'F) lower than the outside
air (to the extent that you feel somewhat cool).

During a long period of disuse The air conditioner should be operated for at least five minutes each a week, even in cold weather. This is to prevent poor lubrication of the compressor internal parts and maintain the air conditioner in the best operating condition.
Rear heater* EH17A-A
The rear air conditioner can be operated while the ignition switch is at the "ON" position.
NOTE
When the engine is started , the operation will be the same as for the settings of the knobs just before the engine was stopped.
Operating the system as a rear
heater EH 17B-A
1-Press the rear heater switch.
The rear heater can be turned on or off by the switch at the front seat as well as by that at the rear seat.
Switch at front seat Pressing the switch turns on the
rear heater. While the rear heater is
in operation, the indicator lamp (A) comes on.

2-Adjust the blower speed as desired
by turning the blower speed control knob. There are three blower speeds for control of the amount of air flow. 3-Adjust to the desired temperature by turning the temperature control lever.
When not in use, place the lever in
the COOL position
When the engine
coolant temperature is low, moving the lever to the high temperature side does not change the air
temperature.

Switch at front seat
Press that side of the switch which is opposite to the depressed side, and the
rear heater will stop operation . When the rear heater is not in operation, indicator lamp (A) goes out.
Switch at rear seat
Pressing the switch (1) stops rear heater
operation . When the rear heater is not in
operation, indicator lamp (A) goes out.
Rear air conditioner* EH18A·A
The rear air conditioner operates only when the front air conditioner is in A/C mode .
