CAUTION
.For cleaning, use a soft cloth, dam-
pened with water. Never use a rough
cloth, alcohol, benzine, thinner or
any kind of solvent or paper towel
with a chemical cleaning agent.
They will scratch or cause discolora-
tion to the lens.
. Do not spray any liquid such as
water on the meter lens. Spraying liquid may cause the system to
malfunction.

Resetting the trip odometerGUID-1DBABA69-ABD3-4F38-AC34-931E3721B142To reset a trip, display the trip that you want to
reset to zero, then push and hold the TRIP A/B
RESET switch for more than 1 second.
NOTE:
When the battery is disconnected, the
memory for trips
&Aand&Bis erased,
and both return to zero.

engine into the red zone

When engine speed approaches the red
zone, shift to a higher gear or reduce
engine speed. Operating the engine in

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE

The engine coolant temperature is within the
normal range when the gauge needle points
within the zone

The engine coolant temperature varies with the
outside air temperature and driving conditions.

NOTICE
If the gauge indicates engine coolant
temperature near the hot (H) end of the
normal range, reduce vehicle speed to
decrease temperature. If gauge is over
the normal range, stop the vehicle as
soon as safely possible. If the engine is
overheated, continued operation of the
vehicle may seriously damage the en-
gine. (

FUEL GAUGEGUID-D080E6E6-7C2F-4B34-B700-502969FECE9FThe gauge indicates the approximatefuel level
in the tank.
The gauge may move slightly during braking,
turning, acceleration, or going up or down hills.
The gauge needle returns to E (Empty) after the
ignition switch is pushed to the LOCK position.
Refill the fuel tank before the gauge
registers ªEº (Empty) .
The low fuel warning will be indicated on the
vehicle information display when the fuel tank is
getting low. Refuel as soon as it is convenient,
preferably before the gauge reaches ªEº. There
will be a small reserve of fuel in the tank when the fuel gauge needle reaches ªEº. (

The
indicates that the fuel-filler door is
located on the passenger's side of the vehicle.

NOTE:
If the vehicle runs out of fuel, the
Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may
come on. Refuel as soon as possible. After
a few driving trips, the
light should
turn off. If the light remains on after a few
driving trips, it is recommended you have
the vehicle inspected by a GT-R certified
NISSAN dealer.

TRANSMISSION POSITION INDICA-

gear positions.
The indicator blinks if it is not possible to shift
the gear when in the
&Mposition.

UPSHIFT INDICATORGUID-CF064F6B-354A-42E2-8C37-C7568059E841When the upshift indicator is set to on, the
indicators on the tachometer will illuminate to
help upshift at a constant engine speed from any
gear or to warn the driver of over-revving.
The upshift indicator operates only when the
shift lever is in the
&Mposition. This function
consists of two modes that can be selected on
the vehicle information display: AUTO setting
and MANUAL setting.
