Clean carbon from the piston ring grooves and
rings before measuring the side clearance.

Vor der Messung des Ringnutspiels
die Ölkohleablagerungen an Kolben-
ring und Ringnuten entfernen.

HINWEIS:
Den Ring etwa 10 mm in den Zylin-
der hineinschieben. Dazu den Kol-
benboden verwenden, damit der
Ring rechtwinklig im Zylinder sitzt.

all’interno di questo. Spingere la fascia
con il cielo del pistone in modo tale che

manufacturer’s marks or numbers are
located on the upper side of the rings.
Lubricate the piston and piston rings liberally
with engine oil. Measurement steps:

Be sure that the arrow mark

Before installing the piston pin clip, cover the
crankcase with a clean rag to prevent the
piston pin clip from falling into the crankcase.

Install the piston pin clips with their ends fac-
ing downward.

Vor dem Einbau des Kolbenbol-
zen-Sicherungsringes das Kurbel-
gehäuse mit einem sauberen Tuch
abdecken, damit der Sicherungs-
ring nicht in das Kurbelgehäuse
fallen kann.
Die Kolbenbolzen-Sicherungsrin-
ge mit ihren Enden nach unten
weisend einbauen.

N.B.:
Appliquer de l’huile moteur sur l’axe
de piston et le piston.
S’assurer que la flèche a sur le piston
soit orientée vers le côté échappement
du moteur.
Avant d’installer l’agrafe d’axe de pis-
ton, couvrir le carter avec un chiffon
propre pour éviter que l’agrafe d’axe
de piston ne tombe dans le carter.
Monter les agrafes de piston en
veillant à diriger leurs extrémités vers
le bas.

Applicare olio motore sullo spinotto e
sul pistone.
Accertarsi che il simbolo della freccia
a sul pistone sia rivolto verso il lato
dello scarico del motore.
Prima di installare il morsetto dello
spinotto, coprire il carter con uno
straccio pulito per impedire che il
morsetto dello spinotto vi finisca den-
tro.
Installare i morsetti dello spinotto con
le estremità rivolte verso il basso.

ing chain cavity.
