30.INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL PAD
a. Install the brake pedal pad to the brake pedal sub-assy.
31.INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSY
a. Install the brake pedal sub-assy with the brake pedal shaft washer and nut.
Torque: 37 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

5.REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir filler cap and master cylinder reservoir strainer.
HINT:
Using 2 fingers, pull up and turn the master cylinder reservoir strainer counterclockwise to remove.
b. Remove the set screw and pull out the reservoir.

d. Place a shop rag and 2 wooden blocks on the work table, and lightly tap the cylinder flange against
the block edges until the No.2 piston drops out of the cylinder.

HINT:
Make sure that the distance (A) from the shop rag to the top of the blocks is at least 100 mm (3.94
in.).

13.REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
a. Remove the clip and the push rod pin.
b. Loosen the clevis lock nut and remove the brake master cylinder push rod clevis.
c. Remove the clevis lock nut.

18.INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
a. Install the clevis lock nut and the brake master cylinder push rod clevis.
HINT:
After adjusting the brake pedal height, torque the clevis lock nut.
b. Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.
c. Install the push rod pin and clip.

Torque: 39 N.m (400 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbf)

Install the flexible hose lock securely in the lock hole in the disc brake cylinder assy.

23.INSTALL DISC BRAKE PAD KIT FRONT (PAD ONLY)
a. Right wheel:
Connect the pad wear indicator to the inner pads, and install a new clip.
HINT:

Install the clip lock securely in the grooves of the pad.

b. Apply disc brake grease to the anti squeal shims and install them to each pad.
c. Install the pad wear indicator to the inner pad.
