STABILIZER BAR FRONT
REPLACEMENT
HINT:

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 2. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSY LH
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and front stabilizer link assy LH.
HINT:
If the ball joint turns together with the nut,use a hexagon wrench
(6 mm) to hold the stud.
3. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSY RH
HINT:
Remove the RH side by the same procedures as the LH side. 4. INSPECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSY LH
(a) As shown in the illustration, flip the ball joint stud back andforth 5 times, before installing the nut.
(b) Using a torque wrench, turn the nut continuously at a rate
of 3 ± 5 seconds per 1 turn and take the torque reading
on the 5th turn.
Turning torque:
0.05 ± 1.96 N´m (0.5 ± 20 kgf´cm, 0.4 ± 17 in.´lbf)

14.TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB±ASSY LOWER NO.1 LH
(a)Install the lower suspension arm sub±assy lower No.1
LH, and temporarily tighten the 2 bolts and nut.
15.INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB±ASSY
(a)Support the front suspension crossmember sub±assy with a transmission jack.
(b)Install the 2 front suspension member body mounting stoppers front and 2 nuts.
Torque: 133 N m (1,360 kgf cm, 98 ft lbf)
(c)Connect the transverse engine engine mounting insula- tor and engine mounting member sub±assy center to the
front suspension crossmember sub±assy.
(d)Install the 3 bolts and 3 nuts. Torque:
Bolt A: 52 N m (530 kgf cm, 38 ft lbf)
Bolt B: 96 N m (979 kgf cm, 71 ft lbf)
(e)w/ HID: Connect the height control sensor (Front) connector.
16.INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION ME MBER BRACE
REAR LH
(a)Install the front suspension member body mounting stop- per rear to the front suspension member brace rear LH.
(b)Install the 4 bolts and front suspension member brace rear LH.
Torque:
Bolt A: 80 N m (816 kgf cm, 59 ft lbf)
Bolt B: 133 N m (1,360 kgf cm, 98 ft lbf)

6. INSPECT CAMBER, CASTER AND STEERING AXIS
INCLINATION
(a) Install the camber±caster±kingpin gauge or position the
vehicle on the wheel alignment tester.
(b) Inspect the camber, caster and steering axis inclination.

5. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator from the brake acutuator bracket.
6. REMOVE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR
7. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU
(a) Disconnect the connector from the skid control ECU.
(b) Using a torx driver (T20), remove the 6 screws and the skid control EC\
U from the brake actuator.
8. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU
(a) Install the skid control ECU and 6 screws with a torx driver (T20).
(b) Connect the connector to the skid control ECU.
9. INSTALL OIL PRESSURE SENSOR
10. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY
(a) Install the brake actuator with 3 the bolts to the brake actuator bracke\
t. Torque: 4.7 N m (48 kgf cm, 42 in. lbf)
11. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
(a) Install the brake actuator with bracket with the nut and 2 bolts.
Torque: 19 N m (194 kgf cm, 14 ft lbf)
(b) Using SST, connect each brake line to the correct position of the brake actuator, as shown in the illustration.
SST 09023±00100, 09023±38400
Torque:
A: 15 N m (155 kgf cm, 11 ft lbf)
B: 29 N m (296 kgf cm, 21 ft lbf)
(c) Connect the oil presser sensor connector.
(d) Connect the brake actuator connector.

17. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP ASSY
(a) Coat 2 new O±rings with engine oil, and install them to the
vacuum pump assy.
(b) Install the vacuum pump assy aligning the coupling with
the slit of the camshaft.
(c) Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgfcm, 15 ftlbf)
(d) Connect 2 vacuum hoses and oil hose.
18. INSPECT CHECK VACUUM PUMP OPERATION
(a) Slide the clip, then disconnect the vacuum hose from vac-
uum pump assy.
(b) Connect the hose of the vacuum gauge to the vacuum
pump assy.
(c) Block off another hose of the vacuum gauge with the hose
clamp No.2.
(d) Start the engine and warm it up for more than 2 minutes.
(e) With the engine idle, check the negative pressure of the
vacuum pump assy.
Standard: More than 650 mmHg (86.7 kPa).
(f) Remove the vacuum gauge from the vacuum pump assy.
(g) Connect the vacuum hose with the clip to the vacuum
pump assy.
