REAR BUMPER
REMOVAL
1. Fully open trunk lid assembly.
2. Remove trunk floor carpet, trunk box assembly, trunk floor spacer (LH/RH), trunk rear garnish, trunk rear
finisher, and trunk wheelhouse finisher. Refer to EI-58, "
TRUNK ROOM TRIM & TRUNK LID FINISHER" .
3. Remove rear combination lamp (LH/RH). Refer to LT- 2 1 6 , "
REAR COMBINATION LAMP" .
4. Remove clips of bumper fascia lower side.
5. Remove screws of bumper fascia left/right side.
6. Remove bumper fascia left/right bolt from trunk room inside.
7. Remove clip and bumper clamp from bumper fascia upper side, and then pull out bumper fascia toward
rear of vehicle.
8. Disconnect rear fog lamp harness connector after pulling out, and then remove bumper fascia.
CAUTION:
When removing bumper fascia, 2 workers are required so as to prevent it from dropping.
9. Remove the following parts after removing bumper fascia.
Bumper side bracket (LH/RH).
Rear bumper molding (LH/RH).
10. Remove bumper energy absorber.
11. Remove bumper reinforcement mounting nuts and bumper reinforcement.
12. Unscrew bumper stay mounting bolts, and remove bumper stay (LH/RH).
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF REAR BUMPER MOLDING
Removal
1. Remove rear bumper fascia.
2. Disengage the joint between rear bumper fascia and rear
bumper molding, and then remove rear bumper molding.
Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL
1. Fully open hood assembly.
2. Remove mounting nut from back of grille.
3. Pull out front grille toward front of vehicle.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.

COWL TOP
REMOVAL
1. Remove front wiper arm (LH/RH) from vehicle. Refer to WW-34, "Removal and Installation of Front Wiper
Arms, Adjustment of Wiper Arms Stop Location" .
2. Remove cowl top seal rubber together with mounting clips.
3. Remove food hinge cover (LH/RH).
4. Remove front end clips of cowl top cover (LH/RH).
5. Disengage cowl top cover (LH) rear end blind clip, and then remove it.
6. Disengage cowl top cover (RH) rear end blind clip, and then remove it.
7. Disconnect front wiper motor harness connector.
8. Remove front wiper motor and linkage. Refer to WW-34, "
Removal and Installation of Front Wiper Drive
Assembly" .
9. Remove extension cowl top panel mounting bolt, and then remove extension cowl top panel.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
When installing cowl top cover, make sure that blind clips are securely fitted in panel holes on
body, and then press them in.
Always replace cowl top cover EPT sealer (LH/RH) on rear of vehicle with a new one when install-
ing old cowl top cover.
Refer to WW-34, "Removal and Installation of Front Wiper Arms, Adjustment of Wiper Arms Stop
Location" in WW section for wiper arm installation.

REMOVAL
1. Remove rear end screw of fender protector (rear).
2. Remove rear end clip of fender protector (rear).
3. Remove plastic clamp from wheelhouse arches, and then remove fender protector (rear) from wheel-
house.
4. Remove front end screw of fender protector (front).
5. Remove front end clip of fender protector (front).
6. Remove fender protector (front) from wheelhouse.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove screws of mudguard front/rear side.
2. Remove bolts of mudguad lower side.
3. Fully open front door and rear door.
4. Remove clips from back of mudguard using clip clamp remover.
5. Remove center mudguard from body side.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
When installing center mudguard, make sure that clips are securely fitted in panel holes on body, and
then press them in.

REMOVAL
1. Fully open front door and rear door.
2. Remove molding clips from front edge to rear edge in this order
using a clip clamp remover.
3. Remove clips so as not to damage clip pawls and drop into outer
panel.
4. Remove drip molding assembly.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
After removal, visually inspect drip molding, and if it is deformed, replace it with new molding.

CAUTION:
Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing because it is easy to deform parts.
After removal, visually inspect molding, and if it is deformed, replace it with new molding.
REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOLDING
Removal
1. Fully open door window.
2. Remove door trim. Refer to EI-35, "
DOOR FINISHER" .
3. Remove door corner cover inner and outer. Refer to GW-50, "
REAR DOOR GLASS AND REGULATOR" .
4. Disengage pawls by inserting a screwdriver to front and rear of pawl integrated with cap.
5. Remove door outside molding while pulling up molding using plastic spatula after disengaging.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing because it is easy to deform parts.
After removal, visually inspect molding, and if it is deformed, replace it with new molding.
Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
Molding rear end is flush with door sash rear end when installing.
