If Ac tive Brake Assist is deactivated or the func-
tions are restric ted, e.g. due toactivation of

Tr a1c Sign Assist de tects tra1c signs with the
multifunction camera and compares this with
information in the digital navigation map. It assists
yo uby displaying de tected speed limits and over-
ta king restrictions in the driver's display and in
th e head-up displa y.The system can issue a warn-
ing when youex ceed the maximum permissible
speed.
In some countries, the system can pr ovide you
with fu rther functions and can warnyou when you
are approaching pedestrian crossings or when
yo u are about todrive past stop signs or red lights
unintentionall y.
The camera also de tects and anal yses tra1c
signs with a restriction indicated byan additional
sign (e.g. when wet).
Tr a1c Sign Assist portr ays only selected signs in
th e driver's displa y.Ac tual tra1c signs and speed
limits ha vepriority over tra1c signs and speed

having been de tected.

th is, you can specify in the multimedia system by

tion camera is dirty, or if the camera is misted

ered with ice, damaged, badly positioned,
poor lylit or twisted.
R Active tra1c signs with LED displa ysmay not
be de tected cor rectly or at all due to technical
fa ctors, such as transmission frequency.
R Ifth e information on the navigation system's
digital map is incor rect, incomple teor out of
date.
R If signs or thero ad la yout is ambiguous, e.g.

monitor the area up to40 m behind and 3 m next
to your vehicle.

re sponsibility for opening and closing the doors

R ifve hicles are not driving in the middle of their
lane
Wa rnings may be issued in er ror when driving
close tocrash bar riers or similar continuous lane
borders. Alw ays make sure that there is su1cient
distance tothe side forot her tra1c or obs tacles. Wa
rnings may be inter rupted when driving along-
side long vehicles, forex ample lor ries, for a pro-
longed time.
Ac tive Blind Spot Assist is not operational when
re ve rsege ar is engaged.
