The Zero La yer pr ovides you with dynamic content
from the MBUX multimedia system and is used to
qu ickly access and control the applications you
use. When you select ©onthe central displa y,
th e digital map with the applications appears in
th e lo wer display area. Compared tothe home
screen with a classic menu, the steps requ ired to
call up the applications are reduced. You can
switch between the Zero La yer and the home
screen with a classic menu.
The applications can be hidden from the display
area and shown again.
The Zero La yer pr ovides thefo llowing modules
and applications:
R Navigation module
In theex panded view you can, forex ample,
displ aythero ute overview, switch on the dis-
play of tra1c information and make settings
fo rView (map), Messages & tones, Route.R
Enter tainment (media, radio) and telephone
When the lo wer display area is shown, the
enter tainment sources are alw ays displ ayed.
A mobile phone must be connected tothe
MBUX multimedia system forth e phone tobe

R Active applications
The lo wer display area sho wsan active mas-
sage prog ramme, forex ample.
R Suggestions
Suggestions are displ ayed on the lo wer display
area based on cont ext and your user beha v-
iour. These are, forex ample, dialled phone
numbers, active massage prog rammes or vehi-
cle functions.
R Online voice applications
In the lo wer display area, cont ext-dependent
services that can be executed via voice are
av ailable for direct access.
The applications are /rst displa yed in a reduced
vie w. By tapping on them, you can operate them
