WARNING Risk of an accident due t o insuPcient tyre pressure
= The tyr
es can burst.
= The tyres can wear excessively and/or unevenly.
= The driving characteristics as well as the steering and braking may be greatly impaired.
You could then lose control of the vehicle. 
Observe the recommended tyre pressures. 
Adjust the tyre pressure if necessary. 
Stop the vehicle in accordance with the tr
aPc conditions. 
Check the tyre pressure ( pag
e 469) and the tyres.
é Rectify tyre pressure * The tyre pressure is too low in at least one of the tyres, or the
diMer
ence in tyre pressure between the individual
wheels is too great. 
Check the tyre pressure and add air, if necessary. 
When the tyre pressure is correct, restart the tyre pressure monitor (  pag
e 472).
é Warning tyre malfunction * The pressure in one or more tyres has dropped suddenly. The wheel position is displayed.574
