nIgnition key (Smart key)
Leaving children unattended in a ve‐hicle with the ignition key (smartkey) is dangerous even if the key isnot in the ignition switch or startbutton is ACC or ON position.Children copy adults and they couldplace the key in the ignition switchor press the start button. The igni‐tion key (smart key) would enablechildren to operate power windowsor other controls, or even make thevehicle move, which could result inserious bodily injury or even death.Never leave the keys in your vehiclewith unsupervised children, whenthe engine is running.

In order to prevent theft of your ve‐hicle, do not leave spare keys any‐where in your vehicle. Your immobil‐izer password is a customer uniquepassword and should be kept confi‐dential. Do not leave this numberanywhere in your vehicle.

Do not change, alter or adjust theimmobilizer system because it couldcause the immobilizer system tomalfunction. In this case, have thesystem serviced by a professionalworkshop. Kia recommends to visitan authorized Kia dealer/servicepartner.Malfunctions caused by improper al‐terations, adjustments or modifica‐tions to the immobilizer system arenot covered by your vehicle manu‐facturer warranty.
