This function cannot, in any circumstances, take the place of the
vigilance of the driver.Certain types of obstacle (stake, roadworks cone, etc.) detected
initially will no longer be detected at the end of the manoeuvre, if
they
are located in blind spots in the sensors' field of detection.
PARKING SENSORSREAR PARKING SENSORS
Audible assistance
The proximity information is given by an intermittent audible signal, th\
e
frequency
of which increases as the vehicle approaches the obstacle.
The sound emitted by the speaker (right or left) indicates the side on\
which the obstacle is located.
When the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle becomes
less than approximately thirty centimetres, the audible signal becomes
continuous.
This system indicates the proximity of an obstacle (person, vehicle, tree,
gate,
etc.)
which

.
The system is switched on by engaging reverse gear. This is
accompanied by an audible signal.
The system is switched off when you come out of reverse gear.

FRONT PARKING
SENSORS
In addition to the rear parking sensors, the front parking sensors are
triggered when an obstacle is detected in front and the speed of the
vehicle is still below 6 mph (10 km/h).
The front parking sensors are interrupted if the vehicle stops for more \
than three seconds in forward gear, if no further obstacles are detected
or when the speed of the vehicle exceeds 6 mph (10 km/h).
This supplements the audible signal by displaying bars in the
multifunction screen which move progressively nearer to the vehicle.
When the obstacle is near, the "Danger" symbol is displayed in
the
screen. The function is deactivated by pressing this button. The indicator lamp
in the button comes on.
Pressing this button again reactivates the function. The indicator lamp in
the button goes off. The sound emitted by the speaker (front or rear) indicates whether the\
obstacle is in front or behind.

deactivation / Activation of the rear parking sensors
The function is deactivated or activated via the vehicle configuration menu.
The status of the function is stored when the ignition is switched off.
OPERATING FAULT
In the event of a malfunction of the system, when reverse gear
is engaged this warning lamp is displayed in the instrument
panel and/or a message appears in the screen, accompanied
by an audible signal (short beep).
Contact
a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
In bad weather or in winter, ensure that the sensors are not
covered with mud, ice or snow. When reverse gear is engaged, an
audible signal (long beep) indicates that the sensors may be dirty.
Certain sound sources (motorcycle, lorry, pneumatic drill, etc.)
may trigger the audible signals of the parking sensor system.
The function will be deactivated automatically if a trailer is being
towed
or
a
bicycle
carrier
is
fitted
(vehicle
fitted
with
a
towbar
or

FUEL TANK
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 55 litres.
LOW FUEL LEVEL
R
EFUELLING
When the fuel tank minimum level is reached this warning
lamp comes on on the instrument panel, accompanied by an
audible signal and an alert message. When it first comes on
there remains approximately 5 litres
of fuel in the tank.
Until
sufficient fuel is added, this warning lamp appears every time
the ignition is switched on, accompanied by an audible signal and a
message. When driving, this audible signal and display of the alert
message
are repeated with increasing frequency as the fuel level drops
towards
"0".
Refuel as soon as possible to avoid running out of fuel.
If you run out of fuel (Diesel), refer also to the "Running out of fue\
l
(Diesel)" section.
A
label
affixed to the inside of the flap reminds you of the type of fuel to
be used depending on your engine.
Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres, in order to be registere\
d by
the fuel gauge. T
o fill the tank in complete safety:
F the engine must be switched off,
F
press the rear part of the flap, then raise it to open it,
F
turn the cap to the left,
F
remove the cap and hook it onto the clip located on the inside of the
flap,
F
fill the tank, but do not continue after the 3rd cut-off of the
pump; this could cause malfunctions.
Opening
the filler cap may create a noise a caused by an inrush
of air
. This vacuum is entirely normal, resulting from the sealing of
the fuel system.

FUEL USE d FOR PETROL ENGINES
The petrol engines are compatible with E10 bio-petrol (containing
10 % ethanol), conforming to European standards EN 228 and EN 15376.
E85 type fuels (containing up to 85 % ethanol) are reserved exclusivel\
y for
vehicles marketed for the use of this type of fuel (BioFlex vehicles).\
The
quality
of the ethanol must comply with European standard EN 15293.
FUEL USE d FOR dIESEL ENGINES
The Diesel engines are compatible with biofuels which conform to
current and future European standards (Diesel fuel which complies
with
standard EN 590 mixed with a biofuel which complies with
standard
EN 14214) available at the pumps (containing up to 7 % Fatty
Acid Methyl Ester).
B30 biofuel can be used in certain Diesel engines. However, this use,
even
occasional, requires strict application of the special servicing
conditions.
Contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
The use of any other type of (bio)fuel (vegetable or animal oils, pur\
e
or diluted, domestic fuel...) is strictly prohibited (risk of damage t\
o the
engine and fuel system).
When
you
have
filled
the
tank:
F
put the cap back in place,
F
turn it to the right,
F
close
the
flap.
Freezing conditions
In these conditions, the filler flap may be jammed.
Opening the boot gives access to the flap, allowing it to be
released by hand.

BONNET
OPENING
F Open the front left door.
CLOSING
F Lower the bonnet and release it at the end of its travel.
F
Pull the bonnet to check that it is fully latched.
F
Pull the interior release lever
A
, located at the bottom of the door
aperture.
The location of the interior release lever prevents opening of the
bonnet while the front left door is closed.
Do not open the bonnet in strong wind.
When the engine is hot, handle the safety catch with
care
(risk
of
burns). Because
of the presence of electrical equipment under the bonnet,
it is recommended that exposure to water (rain, washing, ...) be
limited.
The cooling fan may start after switching off the engine: take
care with articles and clothing that might be caught by the
fan blades.
F
Push the exterior safety catch
B to the left and raise the bonnet.
The bonnet is held open by the two side struts.
