1.Fullyapplythehandbrake,engage1stgearorselectpositionPandwithdrawtheignitionkey.
2.Securethecaragainstrollingaway,e.g.bymeansofwedgesunderthewheelsontheoppositeside.Thisisparticularlyimportantonslopes.
ScrewinassemblyaidforvehicleswithoutPorscheCeramicCompositeBrake
3.Slightlyslackenthewheelboltsofthewheeltobechanged.
4.Raisethecaruntilthewheelliftsofftheground.

ScrewintwoassemblyaidsforvehicleswithPorscheCeramicCompositeBrake

2.Removethespacer.
3.FastenthebrakediscwiththeshortM6x12countersunkscrews,partNo.900.269.047.09.Tighteningtorque10Nm(7.5ftlb.).
4.Forwheelmountingwithoutaspacer,5mmshorterwheelbolts(partNo:996.361.203.02)mustbeused.Tighten-ingtorque130Nm(96ftlb.).

Theshortwheelboltsarenotmarkedincolor.Theshortwheelboltsmustonlybeusedwithout5mmspacersfitted.
Tighteningtorqueforbothwheelbolts:130Nm(96ftlb.).

Generalinformation
Inordertoavoiddamageandfaultsinelectricalorelectronicsystems,electricalaccessoriesshouldbeinstalledatyourauthorizedPorschedealer.
OnlyuseaccessoriesauthorizedbyPorsche.
Danger!
Riskofshortcircuitandre,resultinginseriouspersonalinjuryordeath.Replacingfusesorrelayswiththeenginerunningortheignitiononcouldcauseelectricalshock.

Relays
Defectiverelaysshouldbechangedonlybyanauthorizedworkshop.
Alarmsystem,centrallocking
Thestatusofthecentrallockingandalarmsystemisnotchangedbydisconnectingthebattery.Whenthebatteryisdisconnected,thealarmsystemceasestofunction.
Overloadprotection
Ifthecentrallockingsystemisoperatedmorethantentimeswithinaminute,furtheroperationisblockedfor30seconds.
Loadswitch-offafter2hoursor7days
Iftheignitionkeyisremoved,loadswhichareswitchedonorareinstandbymode(suchastheluggagecompartmentlight,interiorlightandradio)areautomaticallyswitchedoffafterapprox.2hours.
Ifthevehicleisnotstartedorunlockedwiththeremotecontrolwithin7days,theremotecontrolstandbyfunctionisswitchedoff(tosavethevehiclebattery).
1.Inthiscase,unlockthedriver’sdoorwiththekeyatthedoorlock.Leavethedoorclosedinordertopreventthealarmsystemfrombeingtriggered.
2.Pressbutton1ontheremotecontrol.
Theremotecontrolisnowactivatedagain.
A-Diagnosticsocket
Replacingfuses
Inordertopreventdamagetotheelectricalsystemduetoshortcircuitsandoverloads,theindividualcircuitsareprotectedbyfuses.Thefuseboxislocatedinthedriver’sfootwell.

A-PlasticgripperB-Sparefuses
1.Switchofftheloadwiththedefectivefuse.
2.Pulloffplasticcoveratthefingerhole(arrow).Thefuseplanandinstructionsforemer-gencyunlockingoftheluggagecompart-mentlidcanbefoundontheinnersideofthecover.
3.RemovethecorrespondingfusefromitsslotusingtheplasticgripperAinordertocheckit.Ablownfusecanbeidentifiedbythemeltedmetalstrip.
4.Replaceonlywithfusesofthesamerating.
Note
Ifafuseblowsrepeatedlyconsultanauthor-izedPorschedealer.
Nevertryto“repair”fuses:youmaycauseseriousdamagetootherpartsoftheelectricalsystem.
Emergencyunlockingofthefrontluggage
compartmentlid
Ifthebatteryisdischarged,thelidcanbeopenedonlywiththeaidofadonorbattery.
Unlockinglid
1.Usethekeytounlockthevehicleatthedoorlock.
2.Removeplasticcoveroverthefusebox.
3.PulloutpositiveterminalAinthefusebox.
4.UseajumpercabletoconnectthepositiveterminalofthedonorbatterywithpositiveterminalAinthefusebox.
Note
Ifthevehiclewaslocked,thealarmhornwillsoundwhenthenegativecableisconnected.
5.UsethesecondjumpercabletoconnectthenegativeterminalofthedonorbatterywithlatchstrikerB.
6.Unlockthefrontluggagecompartmentlidwiththeremotecontrol.Thealarmsystemisswitchedoff.

7.Disconnectthenegativecablefirst,thenthepositivecable.
8.PushthepositiveterminalAintothefuseboxandpushontheplasticfuseboxcover.
