Allcurrentengineoilsarecompatiblewitheachother,i.e.whenmakinganoilchangeitisnotnecessarytoflushtheengineifyouwishtouseadifferentbrandorgradeofoil.Since,however,eachbrandofoilhasaspecialcomposition,
youshould,ifpossible,usethesameoilbrandifitbecomesnecessarytotopupbetweenoilchanges.
Porscheengineshavelongintervalsbetweenoilchanges.Youcanmakebestuseoftheselongoilchangeintervalsbyusingmultigradeoilssincethesearelargelyindependentofseasonalfluctuationsintemperature.
Ifyourvehicleisusedfrequentlyinstop-and-gotrafficincoldweather,theenginewillnotalwaysbecompletelywarmedup.Condensationfromproductsofcombustionmayaccumulateintheoil.Inthiscase,itisadvisabletochangetheoilmorefrequentlysothatyourengineonceagainhas100%efficientoil.
Engineoilperformanceclass
Engineoilisnotonlyalubricant,butalsoservestokeeptheengineclean,toneutralizethedirtwhichpenetratesintotheenginethroughcombustionandtoprotecttheengineagainstcorrosion.Toperformthesefunctions,theoilisprovidedwithadditiveswhichhavebeenspeciallydevelopedforthesefunctions.Theefficiencyofanoilisexpressed,forexample,bytheAPI,ILSACorACEAclassifications.

2.Slowlyunscrewthetankcap.Hangthetankcapontheplasticstrapofthefillerflap.
3.Insertfuel-hosenozzlefullyintothefillerneckwiththehandleofthefuel-hosenozzlefacingdown.
4.Donotaddfurtherfueloncethecorrectlyoperatedautomaticfuel-hosenozzlehasswitchedoff.Fuelcouldsprayorcouldrunoverinwarmtemperatures.
5.Replacethetankcapimmediatelyafterrefuelingandturnituntilyouhearitandfeelitengage.
Ifyoulosethetankcap,youmustreplaceitonlywithanoriginalparttoreducethepossibilityofareintheeventofacollision.
