4.INSTALL CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSY
a. Properly position the socket and ring at the cutout of the cigar-lighter hole bezel and insert them.
b. Rotate the socket cap clockwise from the backside.

a. Turn the socket counterclockwise as shown in the illustration.
b. Disengage the claw between the socket and the cigarette lighter bezel stay, and push out the socket.

c. Align the socket with the notch on the socket cover, and remove the socket assy.

7.INSTALL POWER OUTLET SOCKET ASSY CTR
a. Align the socket with the notch on the socket cover, push in the socket assy as hard as possible to
install it.

e. Turn the control shaft lever counterclockwise until it stops, and turn it clockwise 2 notches to set it
to the N position.
f. Remove the transmission control shaft lever.

INSPECTION
1.INSPECT TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH ASSY
a. Inspect the one-way clutch.
1. Install SST so that it fits in the notch of the converter hub and outer race of the one-way
clutch.

2. Press on the serrations of the starter with a finger and rotate it.
Clean the converter and retest the one-way clutch.
When the one-way clutch is turned clockwise, it rotates freely and when turned counterclockwise, it
locks.

b. Turn the control shaft lever of the neutral start switch counterclockwise until it stops, and turn it
clockwise 2 notches to set it to the N position.
c. Move the shift lever to the N position and tighten the nut while lightly pushing the lever toward the
R position.
d. After adjustment, check that the shift lever moves smoothly and the shift lever and gear operate
correctl

5.REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir filler cap and master cylinder reservoir strainer.
HINT:
Using 2 fingers, pull up and turn the master cylinder reservoir strainer counterclockwise to remove.
b. Remove the set screw and pull out the reservoir.
