ditionall y,the tyre pressure table may also state
tyre pressures for di.erent load conditions. These
are de/ned in the tyre pressure information table
as di.erent numbers of passengers and amounts
of luggage. The actual number of seats may di.er.
Fo r more information, please referto theve hicle

The tyre pressure values given for partly laden
ve hicles are minimum values which o.er you good
ri de comfort. They are not for trailer operation.
Yo u can also use the tyre pressure values for a fully
laden vehicle. These are alw ays allo wed and per-

ri de is not as comfor table and fuel consum ption is
only minimally reduced. In addition, wear is greater
in the middle of the tyre tread.

The system checks the tyre pressure and the tyre

R the tyre pressure has been set incor rectl y.
R there is a sudden pressure loss caused, for

The tyre pressure values indicated bythe on-board

The tyre pressures shown bythe on-board com-

Mercedes-Benz recommends that you st ay
within a wheel size category when changing a
tyre. In this wa y,yo uavo idrecoding the con-
trol units.
Due tothe legally prescribed accuracy of the
speedome ter and odome ter displa ys,th efo llowing
tyres are not permitted forta xis and hire cars:
R Wheel size category 1
- 195/65 R16C
R Wheel size category 2
- 225/55 R17XL

An ar row on the side wall of the tyre indicates its
