In particular, you may slip under the seatbelt

Alw ays ensure that the seat backrest is
in an almost vertical position and that
th e shoulder section of your seat belt is
ro uted across the cent reofyour shoul‐
der. The swit
ches for adju sting the seats do not
mo ve.Yo u will therefore recei veno di rect feed‐
back on the switch while pressing the switch.
Fe edback is pr ovided only bythe mo vement of
th e seat.

If head restra ints ha venot been adjus ted
cor rectly, there is an increased risk of injury
in the head and neck area, e.g. in theev ent
of an accident or sudden braking. #
Before driving off, make sure forev ery
ve hicle occupant that the cent reofthe
head restra int supports the back of the
head at about eye le vel. Ad
just the head restra int fore -and-aft position so
th at it is as close as possible tothe back of your
head. &
WARNING Risk of inju ryor death due to
objects under the co-driver seat
Objects trapped under the co-driver seat can
inter fere with the function of the automatic
co-driver airbag shutoff or damage the sys‐
te m. #
Do not store any objects under the co-
driver seat. #
When the co-driver seat is occupied,
make sure that no objects are trapped
under the co-driver seat. *

back from there ar seat or driver's seat.

Requ irements:
R The front passen ger seat is not occupied.
R The front passenger seat belt is not inser ted

button 1.
When the indicator lamp lights up, the front
passenger seat is selected. Setting

Push button 2forw ards and hold it in this
position.
The front passen ger seat will mo veforw ard
and stop at theth re shold of the area for
ch auf feur mode. #
Release button 2. #
Push button 2forw ard and hold it again
until the front passenger seat is in the posi‐
tion forch auf feur mode.
The front passen ger seat head restra int will
fo ld forw ards. The front passenger seat will
mo veforw ard.
% Ifth e front passenger seat is already at the
th re shold tothe area forch auf feur mode,
th e position forch auf feur mode will be set
immediatel y. #

Re quirements:
R Depending on the equipment, the front
passenger seat is in one of thefo llowing
positions:
- Vehicles without leg rest:th e front
passenger seat has mo ved into a random
position.
- Vehicles with leg rest:th e front
passenger seat has been mo ved fully
fo rw ard.
R The front passenger seat is in the position for
ch auf feur mode.
Using thefo ot re st
The foot re st is located on the lo wer part of the
front passenger seat backrest. Seats and

front passenger seat. #
Push theex tended foot re st upwards with
yo ur foot until it releases. #
Allow thefo ot re st to lowe r.
The foot re st will position itself on thefloor. St
oring thefo ot re st #
Push thefo ot re st upwards with your foot
until it en gage s. #
Push button 1forw ards.
The foot re st will retract undernea th the front
passenger seat.
Fo lding the head restra int on the front
passenger side down or folding it into posi‐
tion (chau ffeur mode)
Re quirements:
R The front passen ger seat is not occupied.
R The front passenger seat belt is not inser ted

button 1.
When the indicator lamp lights up, the front
passenger seat is selected. Fo
lding the head restra int down #
Push button 2forw ards and hold it in this
position.
The head restra int will mo veforw ards slightly
and stop. #
Release button 2. #
Push button 2forw ards again.
The head restra int will fold forw ards. #
Tofold the head restra int into position:
push button 2bac k.
The head restra int will fold into position.
% You can also fold the front passenger head
re stra int into position from the front
passenger seat. Todo so, press any button
on the door operating unit on the front
passenger side.
% Ifth e head restra int is already in thefo re‐
most position, it will fold forw ard immedi‐
atel y.
