th e ins tallation, individual functions or con‐
trol elements are not available or on lyavaila‐

your vehicle's communication module.
These will con veniently be sent to you via the
mobile phone connection in your vehicle and, in
many cases, ins talled automaticall y.Yo u can
monitor thest atus of your updates at any time
on the Mercedes me por tal and find information
about po tential inno vations.

Impor tant sy stem updates may be necessary for
th e security of your multimedia sy stem's data.
Ins tallth ese updates, or else the security of your
multimedia sy stem cann otbe ensured.
% If automatic software updates are activated,
th e sy stem updates will be downloaded auto‐
matically (→ page374).
As soon as an update is available for download,
a cor responding message appears onthe media
displa y.

R Accept and install
The update will be downloaded in the back‐
ground.
R Information
Information about the pending sy stem
update is displa yed.
R Later
The update can be downloaded manually at a
later time (→ page374). Dee

Deep sy stem updates access vehicle or sy stem
settings and can therefore only be car ried out
when theve hicle is stationary and the ignition is
switched off.
If th e download of a deep sy stem update is com‐
ple ted and the update is ready for ins tallation,
yo u will be informed of this af terth e next igni‐
tion cycle, forex ample.
% Park theve hicle safely in a suitable location
before starting the ins tallation.
Re quirements forth e ins tallation:
R The ignition is switched off.
R Notes and warnings ha vebeen read and
accep ted.
R The elect ric pa rking brake is applied.
If all requirements are met, the update will be
ins talled. The multimedia sy stem cann otbe
operated while the update is being ins talled and
ve hicle functions are restricted.
If er rors should occur during the ins tallation, the
multimedia sy stem automatically attem ptsto
re store the pr evious version. If restoration of thepr
ev ious version is not possible, a symbol
appears on the media displa y.Please consult a
qu alified specialist workshop toresol vethe

tion purify the air. The vehicle interior is illuminated with cool colours and the seats are ventilated.

Can increase the comfort le vel of theve hicle occupants. The vehicle's panel, seat and steering wheel
heater produce a cosy warmth. The air is pu rified using ionisation and a pleasant fragrance is released. The
ve hicle interior is illuminated with warm lighting.
Vi tality
Can countera ct diminishing attentiveness in mono tonous driving situations. Fast-paced music and a vitaliz‐
ing massa geprov ide invigorating stimulation forth eve hicle occupants. The air is purified using ionisation
and a pleasant fragrance is released. The vehicle interior is illuminated in a stimulating hue and the seat is
ve ntilated.
Pleasure Can promotea positive mood in theve hicle occupants as well as men tal and ph ysical rege neration. Moder‐
ately fastmusic is pla yed and a massage program is activated. The air is purified using ionisation and a
pleasant fragrance is released. The vehicle interior is illuminated with amicable lighting.

Can counteractthe onset of muscle tension, limbs falling asleep or stre ss with targeted relaxation or stim‐
ulation exercises. The exercises are demon stra ted in short videos. The air is purified using ionisation and a
pleasant fragrance is released. The vehicle interior is illuminated with lighting appropriate totheex ercise.
The training consists of audio conte nt and a brief animation. The audio content is conceived so that it can
also be pla yed back when you are driving. The animation is on ly shown when theve hicle is driving slo wer
th an 5 km/h. The animation is hidden at higher speeds. Alw ays obser vethe tra ffic conditions if you are
training when driving.
Tips The system gives tips for possible exercises or measures for impr oving the comfort le vel of theve hicle
occupants. Playback is purely aural. By selecting the desired area of the body you can recei vetargeted tips
fo rth e comfort le vel of this area. %

As an activating program in mono tonous driv‐
ing situations or for long journey times, for
ex ample.
