Use the hazard warning flasher switch whenthe vehicle has to be parked on the road forany emergency.The hazard warning flashers can always beoperated, regardless of the operation mode.Push the switch to turn on the hazard warningflashers, all turn signal lamps flash continu-ously. To turn them off, push the switchagain.
Tu r n - s i g n a l l e v e r 1- Turn-signals
When making a normal turn, use position(1). The lever will return automaticallywhen cornering is completed.
2- Lane-change signals
When moving the lever to (2) slightly tochange a lane, the turn-signal lamps andindicator lamp in the instrument clusterwill only flash while the lever is oper-ated.Also, when you move the lever to (2)slightly then release it, the turn-signallamps and indicator lamp in the instru-ment cluster will flash three times.
NOTE
zIf the lamp flashes unusually quickly, thebulb in a turn-signal lamp may have burnedout. We recommend you to have the vehicleinspected. zIt is possible to activate the following func-tions:•Flashing of the turn-signal lamps when thelever is operated with the operation mode isin ACC.•Deactivate the turn-signal lamp 3-flashfunction for lane changes•The time required to operate the lever forthe 3-flash function can be adjusted.For further information, we recommend youto consult a MITSUBISHI MOTORSAuthorised Service Point.On vehicles equipped

ECO mode is an eco-driving support systemwhich automatically controls the Plug-inHybrid EV System and air conditioning sys-tem to improve fuel efficiency.Refer to “Automatic climate control air con-ditioner” on page 8-4.The ECO mode starts working by pressingthe ECO mode switch when operation modeof the power switch is in ON. Push the switchagain and the ECO mode will cancel.While the ECO mode is working, an ECOmode indicator will be turned on.

The front fog lamps can be operated while theheadlamps or tail lamps are on. Turn the knobin the “ON” direction to turn on the front foglamps. An indicator lamp in the instrumentcluster will also come on. Turn the knob inthe “OFF” direction to turn off the front foglamps. The knob will automatically return toits original position when you release it.
zOn vehicles equipped with the emergencystop signal system, while the hazard warninglamps are blinking due to having manuallypushed the switch, the emergency stop signalsystem does not operate.Refer to “Emergency stop signal system” onpage 7-29.

zApply sufficient force to the parking brakelever to hold the vehicle stationary after thefoot brake is released. zIf the parking brake does not hold the vehiclestationary after the foot brake is released,have your vehicle checked immediately.

In order to prevent theft, the Plug-in HybridEV System will not start unless a preregis-tered keyless operation key is used. (Immobi-lizer function)If you are carrying the keyless operation key,you can start the Plug-in Hybrid EV System.
The indicator lamp on the power switch turnsoff.The operation mode cannot be put in OFFunless the electrical parking switch ispressed.Electrical devices such as the audio andaccessory socket can be operated. Can beused when the Ready indicator is off.The indicator lamp on the power switch illu-minates orange.All vehicle’s electrical devices can be oper-ated.The indicator lamp on the power switch illu-minates blue. The indicator lamp turns offwhen the Plug-in Hybrid EV System is oper-ating.

When the operation mode is in any modeother than OFF, if you close all the doors andthe tailgate then try to lock the doors and tail-gate by pressing the driver’s or front passen-ger’s dppr lock/unlock switch, or the tailgateLOCK switch, a warning display will appear,and the outer buzzer will sounds and you can-not lock the doors and tailgate.

Operate the selector lever slowly and securelyin the following method.˙ (home position) to “D” or “R”: Simply shiftthe lever.˙ (home position) to “N”: Shift and hold at“N” position for a while.˙ (home position) to “B”: You can shift theselector lever to “B” only when the selectposition is in “D” position.When shifted from

the regenerative brake force will increase byone step.When shifted to “B” once again, the regener-ative brake force will become the maximum.When you shift the selector lever to “D”, theselect position returns to “D”.
