zIf the operation mode of the power switchis put in OFF or ACC while the lampswitch is in the “ ” or “ ” position,the lamps will turn off automaticallywhen the driver"s door is opened.zIf the operation mode of the power switchis put in OFF or ACC while the lampswitch is in the “ ” or “ ” position,the lamps will remain on for about 3 min-utes while the driver’s door is shut andwill then automatically turn off.
1. Turn the lamp switch in the “OFF” posi-tion while the operation mode of thepower switch is in OFF or ACC.2. Turn on the lamps with the switch in the“ ” or “ ” position again, then thelamps will remain on.3. When 1 minute has passed, the lamps willautomatically be turned off.

If the driver’s door is opened when the opera-tion mode of the power switch is put in ACCor OFF with the lamps illuminated, a buzzerwill sound to remind the driver to turn off thelamps.The buzzer will automatically stop if theauto-cutoff function is activated, the lampswitch is turned off, or the door is closed.

This function turns on the position and taillamps for about 30 seconds after theUNLOCK switch on the remote control trans-mitter is pressed when the combination head-lamps and dipper switch is in the “OFF” or“AUTO” position (for vehicles equipped withthe automatic lamp control). On vehiclesequipped with the automatic lamp control(except for vehicles equipped with LDW), thewelcome light function will operate onlywhen it is dark outside the vehicle.

This function turns on the headlamps in thelow beam setting for about 30 seconds afterthe operation mode is put in OFF.1. Turn the combination headlamps and dip-per switch to the “OFF” or “AUTO” posi-tion (for vehicles equipped with theautomatic lamp control).2. Put the operation mode of the powerswitch in OFF.
3. Within 60 seconds of putting the opera-tion mode in OFF, pull the turn signallever towards you.4. The headlamps will come on in the lowbeam setting for about 30 seconds. Afterthe headlamps go off, the headlamps canbe turned on again in the low beam settingfor about 30 seconds by pulling the turnsignal lever towards you within 60 sec-onds of putting the operation mode inOFF.To t u r n o n t h e h e a d l a m p s a g a i n a f t e r 6 0seconds of putting the operation mode inOFF, repeat the process from step 1.

zThe high beams can also flash when the lampswitch is OFF.zIf you turn the lamps off with the headlampsset to highbeam, the headlamps are automati-cally returned to their low-beam settingwhen the lamp switch is next turned to the“” position.

The direction of the headlamp beam (thedirection which the light shines in) altersaccording to the number of people and theload in the vehicle. Lower the headlamp
angle if it is too high due to the number ofpeople and/or the load in the vehicle so thatthe headlamps’ glare does not distract thedrivers of approaching vehicles. First set thelight switch to the “ ” position, then turnthe headlamp levelling switch knob to lowerthe beam. The greater the number on theheadlamp levelling switch knob, the lowerthe beam will point.Set the switch to the appropriate position sothat the headlamp beam is level with the road.

This mechanism automatically adjusts thedirection of the headlamps (beam position)depending on changes in the condition of thevehicle, such as the number of occupants orluggage weight. When the headlamps are illu-minated with the operation mode in ON, thebeam position of the headlamps is automati-cally adjusted when the vehicle is stopped.
