Practical information
The fitting of electrical equipment or accessories which are not recommended by PEUGEOT may resultin a failure of your vehicle's electronicsystem and excessive electrical consumption. Please note this precaution. Youare advised to contact a PEUGEOTrepresentative to be shown the range of recommended equipment and accessories.


Installation of radio communication transmitters

Before installing any after-market radio communication transmitter, you can contact a PEUGEOT dealer for the specification of transmitters which canbe fitted (frequency, maximum power, aerial position, specific installationrequirements), in line with the VehicleElectromagnetic Compatibility Directive(2004/104/EC).




Depending on the legislation in forcein the country, it may be compulsory to have a high visibility safety vest,warning triangle and spare bulbs andfuses available in the vehicle. B
y visiting a PEUGEOT dealer, you can also
obtain products for cleaning and maintenance (exterior and interior) - including ecological products in the "TECHNATURE" range, toppingup products (screenwash...), touch-up pens and paint aerosols for the exact colour of your
vehicle, refills (cartridge for the temporary puncture repair kit...), ...



"Multimedia":

audio systems, por table satellite navigationsystems, semi-integral suppor t for por tablesatellite navigation system, hands-free kit, speakers, DVD player, connection kit for MP3
or CD player, Wi-Fi on-board, CD player for
touch screen...

Bonnet
)Open the left hand front door.


Before doing anything under the bonnet,switch off the Stop & Start system toavoid any risk of injury resulting from anautomatic change to STA R T m o d e .


Closing
)
Take the stay out of its suppor t slot. )
Clip the stay back into its housing. )
Lower the bonnet and release it at the endof its travel. )
Pull on the bonnet to check that it has
latched correctly.
)
Unclip the stay from its housing and place itin the suppor t slot to hold the bonnet open.

Do not open the bonnet under very windy conditions.When the engine is hot, handle the exterior safety catch and the stay with care (risk of burns).To avoid damaging electrical units,it is strictly forbiddento use a high pressure jet wash under the bonnet.




Opening
)
Lift the safety catch and raise the bonnet.


)Pull the release lever, located at the bottom
of the door aper ture, towards you.

Low fuel level
When the fuel tank minimum level is reached this warning lamp comes on in the instrument panel. There remainsapproximately 5 litres
of fuel in the tank.
When the warning lamp flashes there is very little fuel remaining in the tank.
The key cannot be removed from the lock until the cap is refitted. Removing the filler cap may cause an inrush of air. This vacuum is per fectly normal and results from the sealing of
the system.



























Fuel tank
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres.

A self-adhesive label on the inner face of thefiller flap reminds you of the type of fuel to use
depending on your engine.
Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres to be registered by the fuel gauge.


Filling


To fill the tank safely: )the engine must be switched off,)open the fuel filler flap by pressing at
its rear, )inser t the key in the cap, then turn it to
the left,
With Stop & Star t, never refuel with the system in STOP mode; you must switch off the ignition with the key.
)remove the cap and hook it onto the cliplocated on the inside of the flap, )fill the tank, but do not continue after the
3rd cut- off of the pump ; this could causemalfunctions. You must re
fuel as soon as possible to avoid running out of fuel.
If you run out of fuel (Diesel), refer to the
"Running out of fuel - Diesel" section.

If you have put in the wrong fuel for the engine of your vehicle, you musthave the fuel tank drained and filledwith the correct fuel before star ting the engine.
Fuel supply cut-off
Your vehicle is fitted with a safety system that
cuts off the supply of fuel in the event of animpact. When
you have filled the tank:)put the cap back in place,)turn the key to the right, then remove it from the cap, )close the flap.

Operation
When a petrol filler nozzle is introduced into the
fuel filler neck of your Diesel vehicle, it comes
into contact with the flap. The system remainsclosed and prevents filling.
Do not persist but introduce a Diesel type filler nozzle.

















Misfuel prevention (Diesel) * Mechanical device which prevents filling the tank of a Diesel vehicle with petrol. It avoids the risk of engine damage that can result from filling with the
wrong fuel.
Located in the filler neck, the misfuel prevention device appears when the filler cap is removed.

It remains possible to use a fuel can to fill the tank. In order to ensure a good flow of fuel,do not place the nozzle of the fuel can in direct contact with the flap of the misfuel prevention device and pour slowly.



Tr a v e l l i ng abroad

As Diesel fuel pump nozzles maybe different in other countries, thepresence of the misfuel preventiondevice may make refuelling impossible.
Before travelling abroad, werecommend that you check with thePEUGEOT dealer network, whether your vehicle is suitable for the fuel pumps in the country in which you want to travel.
