Practical information
System which manages the duration of use of certain functions to retain a sufficient level of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as the audio and telematics
s
ystem, windscreen wipers, dipped beam headlamps, cour tesy lamps, etc. for a maximum combined duration of about thir ty minutes.








Electrical energy economy mode
Switching to economy mode
Once this time has elapsed, a message appears in the screen indicating that the vehiclehas switched to economy mode and the active
functions are put on standby.
If a telephone call is being made at this time, it
will be maintained for around 10 minutes with
the Bluetooth hands-free system of your audio
system.


Exiting economy mode

These functions are reactivated automatically
next time the vehicle is driven.) To restore these functions immediately,start the engine and let it run for at least five minutes.

A flat battery prevents the engine from starting (refer to the correspondingsection).









Load reduction mode

System which manages the use of cer tain
functions according to the level of charge
remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is bein
g driven, the load
reduction function temporarily deactivates certain functions, such as the air conditioning,
the heated rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated
automatically as soon as conditions permit.

Changing a wiper blade
wiper blade

Within one minute after switching off
the ignition, operate the wiper stalk to
position the wiper blades vertically on the
windscreen.


Removing
)
Raise the corresponding wiper arm. )
Unclip the wiper blade and remove it.



Fitting
)Put the corresponding new wiper blade inplace and clip it.
)Fold down the wiper arm carefully.



After fitting a front wiper
blade
)Switch on the ignition.)Operate the wiper stalk again to park the
wiper blades.

Towing the vehicle


Access to the tools

The towing eye is installed in the boot under
the floor.
To gain access to it: )open the boot, )lift the floor and remove it,
)remove the towing eye from the holder.
General recommendations
Obser ve the legislation in force in your country. Ensure that the weight of the towing vehicle is higher than that of the towed vehicle. The person at the wheel of the towed vehicle must have a valid driving licence.When towing a vehicle with all four wheels on the ground, always use an approved towingbar; rope and straps are prohibited. When towing a vehicle with the engine off, there is no longer any power assistance for braking or steering.
In the following cases, you must always call on a professional recovery service: - vehicle broken down on a motor way or fast road, - 4 wheel drive vehicle, - when it is not possible to put the gearbox into neutral, unlock the steering, or release theparking brake, - towing with only two wheels on the ground, - where there is no approved towing bar available...

Towing a trailer
We recommend the use of genuinePEUGEOT towbars and their harnessesthat have been tested and approved from the design stage of your vehicle, and that the fitting of the towbar is entrusted to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.If the towbar is not fitted by a PEUGEOT dealer, it is imperative that it is fitted in accordance with the vehiclemanufacturer's instructions.

Driving with a trailer places greater demands on the towing vehicle and the driver must take par ticular care.

Driving advice
Distribution of loads
)Distribute the load in the trailer so that theheaviest items are as close as possible to
the axle and the nose weight approaches the maximum permitted without exceeding it.
Air density decreases with altitude, thus reducing engine performance. Above1 000 metres, the maximum towed load must
be reduced by 10 % for every 1 000 metres of altitude.
Side wind
)Take into account the increased sensitivity
to side wind.

Cooling

To w i ng a trailer on a slope increases the
temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electricall
y controlled, its cooling capacity is not dependent on the engine speed.)
To lower the engine speed, reduce your speed.
The maximum towed load on a long incline
depends on the gradient and the ambient
tem
perature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant
temperature.
)If the warning lamp and the
STOP warning lamp come on, stop the vehicle and switch off
the engine as soon as possible.



Braking

To w i ng a trailer increases the braking distance.
To avoid overheating of the brakes on a longmountain type of descent, the use of engine braking is recommended.

Tyres
)Check the tyre pressures of the towingvehicle and of the trailer, obser ving the recommended pressures.



Lighting
)Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer.


The rear parking sensors will be deactivated automatically if a genuine PEUGEOT towbar is used.

Fitting roof bars
Maximum authorised weight on theroof bars, for a loading height notexceeding 40 cm (with the exception of bicycle carriers): refer to the instructions provided with the roof bars. If the height exceeds 40 cm, adapt the speed of the vehicle to the profile of the road to avoid damaging the roof bars and the fixings on the roof.Be sure to refer to national legislation inorder to comply with the regulations for transporting objects which are longer than the vehicle.

Contact a PEUGE
OT dealer or a qualified workshop for the installation of longitudinal bars.
To install transverse roof bars, obser ve the fitting positions indicated by markings on the
longitudinal roof bars.
Use accessories recommended by PEUGEOT, o b s e r v i ng the manufacturer's recommendations and fitting instructions
so as to avoid the risk of damaging the body (deformation, scratches, ...).
To place a load on the roof, it is necessary to mount the load on thetransverse roof bars.
The longitudinal roof bars are not removable.
