Power easy entry function
The easy entry function makes it easier for
the rear passengers to enter and Leave the ve­
hicle.

back,

and fold the backrest forward.

.,. To move the front seats forward/back, press
and hold the @ button until the seat has
reached the desired position.
When the front seats are moved forward,
their original position is stored . When it is
moved back, the seat automatically stops in
this position. To move the seat even further back, you have to re lease the switch @ and re ­
activate it.
Applies to vehicles w ith adjustable head re­
straints : The head restraints from the front
seats, depending on the seat height that has
been set, are automatically retracted when
the seatbacks are folded down . They return to
their original position again when the seat­
backs for the front seats are raised . Seats

With the driver's or passenger's door
closed, the corresponding switch to move
the seat is inoperative.

Using the
Convenience side view function, the
passenger's seat is adjusted so that the driver
has the best possible view to the right . When
the Conven ience side v iew is set, the specific
position of the driver's seat is ta ken into con ­
sideration.
Using the
Seat symmetry function, the pas­
senger's seat can be moved to the same posi­
tion as the driver's seat. The settings for the
driver's seat are imported and set automati­
ca lly.

Center armrest
The center armrest can be adjusted to several
levels.

Front head restraints

Head restraints that are adjusted according

effective protection.

Adjust the head restraint so the upper edge is
as even as possible with the top of your head.
If that is not possible, try to adjust the head
restraint so that it is as close to this position

Seat memory
Description
Applies to vehicles: wi th memory f unctio n
-
The memory funct ion allows you to quickly
and easily store and recall personal seating
profiles for the driver. The memory function is
operated through the master key and the
memory buttons in the driver's door .
The driver's seating profile is stored and as­
signed to the master key each time the vehicle is locked. The seating profile is recalled auto­
matically when the vehicle is unlocked . If two
people use one vehicle, it is recommended
that each person always uses "their own" master key.
Up to 2 seat profiles can be stored in the
memory buttons in the driver's door . Once
they are stored, these seat profiles can be se­ lected at any time.
In addition to the driver's seat settings, you
can also store and access the exterior mirror
adjustment settings* using the remote con­
tro l key or memory button.

Remote control key

Never put waste paper in the ashtray. Hot
ashes or other hot objects in the asht ray
could set waste paper on fire.
Cigarette Lighter

A WARNING
The cigarette lighter only works when the
ign ition is switched on. Incorrect usage
can lead to serious injur ies or burns. For
this reason, children should never be left
unattended in the vehicle because this in­
creases the risk of injury.
Storage
General overview

- Always remove objects from the instru­
ment pane l. Any items not put away
cou ld slide around inside the vehicle
wh ile driving or when accelerating or
when applying the brakes or when driv­ ing around a corner.
- Whe n you are drivi ng make sure that
anything you may have placed in the cen­
ter console or othe r storage locat ions

cannot fall out into the footwe lls . In case
of sudden braking you would not be able
to brake or accelerate.

of an accident, sudden braking or other
vehicle movement, hot liquid cou ld spill,
causing scalding burns. Spilled hot liquid
can also cause an accident and personal

- Use on ly soft cups in the cupholder. Hard
cups and glasses can cause injury in an
accident.

-Never use the cupholder or adapter as an
ashtray- risk of f ire.

Only dr ink containe rs with lids should be
carried in the cupholder. Liquid could spill
out and damage your vehicle's e lectronic
equipment or sta in the upholstery, etc.
Glove compartment
The glove comportment is illuminated and
con be locked.

The glove compartment can be locked using

On the r ight side in the glove compartment is
a holder with the key body into which the
emergency key must be clipped to be able to
start the vehicle.
A WARNING
To reduce the risk of persona l injury in an
accident or sudden stop, always keep the
glove compartment closed whi le driving.

luggage compartment during sudden

When folding the backrest forwa rd, make
sure the rear safety be lts a re in the belt
guides so they do not become pinched in
the backrest lock and damaged. Othe r ob­
jects shou ld be removed from the rear
bench seat to protect the backrest from
damage.

four tie-down rings to secure luggage and
other items.

Securing the ski sack

Long objects such as skis or snowboards can
be transported in the ski sack.

jects . To reduce the risk of serio us per­
sonal injury, never transport heavy or
pointed objects in the ski sack .
- When braking rapid ly or during an acci­
dent, the load could be displaced and
cause injury to occupants.
- Sharp edges on the load must be covered
for protection. A lways fasten the belt
tightly around the sack and its contents

-For safety reasons, do not transport
more than two pairs of skis in the ski
sack.
- You must secure the ski sack with the
strap after load ing.
- Make sure that all objects you are trans­
port ing with the backrests folded for­
ward are secured. They could slide
around d uring sudden b rak ing maneu­
vers and cause injuri es.
(i) Tips
- Never stow the ski sack away when it is
st ill wet or damp (for example, snow
melting from skis). Allow it to dry com­
pl etely before stow ing it away.
- When transporting sk is or snowboards,
t ighten the securing strap between th e
bind ings.
- Pos ition skis i n the sk i sack with the
pointed ends facing the front and ski
poles with the pointed e nds facing the
rear.

Warm and cold Climate controls
Description
Th e climate control sy stem warms, cools and
adds humidity to the a ir in the veh icle inter io r.
It is the most effect ive when the windows and
power top are closed. If there is a build-up of
h eat inside the vehicle, ventilation can help to
speed up the cooling process .
I n all he ating mode f unctions except
defrost,
the blower on ly switches to a higher speed
once the engine coolant has reached a certain
temp erature.
Condensat ion from the cooling sys tem can
d rip and form a puddle of water under the ve­
h icle. This is normal and does not mean there
is a leak .
Pollutant filter
The po llutant filte r removes po llutants s uch
as dus t and pollen from the air.
The air pollutants filte r must be changed at
the intervals spec ified in you r Wa rra nty
&
M aintenance book let, so tha t the air condi­
tioner can prope rly work .
If you drive your vehicle in an area w ith h igh
a ir po llution , the fi lter may need to be
changed more frequent ly than specified in
your Aud i Warranty
& Ma intenance bookle t. If
in doubt, ask your authorized A udi Service Ad ­
v isor for advice .
Key coded settings
The clima te control sett ings are automat ically
stored and assigned to the remote co ntro l key
that is in use. These set tings are differe nt
when the power top is open or closed .

Reduced visibility is dangero us and can
cause accidents . -

-For safe driving it is very important that
all windows be free of ice, snow and con­
densat ion.
- Comp letely fam iliarize yourse lf with the
proper use and funct ion of the heat ing
and ve nti lation system and especially
how to defog and defrost the w indows.
- Never use the windshield wiper/washer
system in freez ing weather unt il you
have warmed the w indshield first, using
the heating and ventilation system. The
washer sol ution may free ze o n the wind­
shie ld an d red uce visib ility.

- If you s uspect that the air conditioner
has been damaged, switch the system
off to avoid furt her damage and have it
i n spected by a q ua lified dea lership.
- Repairs to the Audi air condition er re­
quire specia l techni cal know ledge and
speci al tools. Contact an autho rized Aud i

- Keep the air intake s lo ts ( in fro nt of the
w indshield) free from ice, snow and de­
br is in order to maintai n the proper f unc ­
tion of the climate control system.
- T he energy m anagement system may
switch the seat heating* or rear window
defroster off temporar ily . These systems
are available again as soon as the energy
balance has been restored .
- Air escapes through vents under the rear
window. When placing items of clothing
on the luggage compartment cover, en­
sure that the openings are not covered.

Operation
We recommend pressing the IAUTOI button and setting the temperature to 72 °F (22 °C) .

Press the buttons to turn the funct ions on or
off. Use the d ials to adjust the temperature,
the blower speed and the a ir distribution . The
LED in a button will light up when the func­
tion is switched on. The settings are disp layed
for a few seconds in the radio or MMI* display.
In vehicles with a 3 -zone deluxe automat ic cl i­
mate control systems*, the dr iver and front
passenger side can be adjusted separately .
The settings are also displayed in the climate
control sys tem display.
IOFF I Switching the climate control
system on/off
The IOFFI button switches the climate control
sys tem on or off . It also switches on when you press the knob. Airflow from outside
is
blocked when the climate control system is
switched off .
IAC I Switching cooling mode on/off
The air is not coo led and humidity is not re­
moved when cooling mode is switched off .
This can cause fog on the windows. Cooling
mode switches off automatically when the
outside temperature is below ze ro .
1- 1 Switching recirculation mode on/off
In recircu lation mode, the air inside the vehi­
cle is c irculated and filtered. This prevents the
unfiltered air outside the vehicle from enter­
ing the vehicle interior . We recommend
