If it takes several pushes on the
button to lock or unlock the doors
and the tailgate, replace the battery
as soon as possible.
Battery type: CR2025 To replace the battery, separate the
half s by caref ully prying on the edge
with a coin. Remove the old battery,
and insert a new battery with the
side f acing up. Snap the two halves
of the transmitter case back together.
An improperly disposed of battery
can hurt the environment.
Always conf irm local regulations f or
battery disposal.

To lock the doors and the tailgate,
press the f ront of the master door
lock switch on either f ront door,
pressthelocktabonthedriver’s
door, or use the outside lock on the
driver’s door.
Pressing the rear of the master door
lock switch will unlock all doors and
the tailgate.The lock tab on any door locks and
unlocks that door.
All doors and the tailgate can be
locked f rom the outside by using the
key in the driver’s door lock. To
unlock only the driver’s door, insert
the key, turn the key, and release it.
The remaining doors and the tailgate
unlock when you turn the key a
second time within a f ew seconds.With the driver’s door open and the
key in the ignition, both master door
lock switches are disabled. They are
not disabled if the driver’s door is
closed. Pushing the f ront of the
master door lock switch on the open
passenger’s door will lock all doors
and the tailgate.

Make sure the shif t lever is in the
Park (P) position.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position, and open the driver’s
door.
The auto door locking f eature has
three possible settings:
Your vehicle has customizable
settings f or the doors and tailgate to
automatically lock and unlock. There
are default settings for each of these
f eatures. You can turn of f or change
the settings for these features as
described on the f ollowing pages.
When you customize the setting,
make sure your vehicle is parked
saf ely, the engine is of f , and apply
the parking brake. Make all settings
bef ore you start driving.
To change the ‘‘AUTO DOOR
UNLOCK’’ setting, see page . To change the ‘‘AUTO DOOR
LOCK’’ setting, see page . The auto door locking is
deactivated all the time.

Park (P) position. Release the switch, and within 5
seconds, turn the ignition switch
to the LOCK (0) position.

With the childproof door locks on,
automatic operation with the inside
door handle is disabled.To open the tailgate, pull the handle,
then lif t up. To close the tailgate, use
the inner handle to pull it down, then
press down on the back edge.
Keep the tailgate closed at all times
while driving to avoid damaging the
tailgate and to prevent exhaust gas
f rom getting into the interior. Seeon page

The childproof door locks are
designed to prevent children seated
in the rear f rom accidentally opening
the rear sliding doors. Each door has
a lock lever near the edge. With the
lever in the LOCK position, the door
cannot be opened f rom the inside
regardless of the position of the lock
tab. To open the door, pull the lock
tab up and use the outside door
handle.
