if worn, distorted or collapsed. Also replace the
springs if a brake drag condition had occurred. Over-
heating will distort and weaken the springs.

(1) Be sure parking brake lever is fully released.
(2) Raise vehicle so rear wheels can be rotated
freely.
(3) Remove plug from each access hole in brake
support plates.

(5) Compress tabs on cable end fitting on the right
rear cable (Fig. 69) at the equalizer. Then pull the
cable through the bracket.
