Location of the storage features
WA R N I N G
■Items that should not be left in
the storage spaces
Do not leave glasses, lighters or spray cans in the storage spaces, as
this may cause the following when
cabin temperature becomes high:
●Glasses may be deformed by heat or cracked if they come into contact
with other stored items.
●Lighters or spray cans may
explode. If they come into contact
with other stored items, the lighter may catch fire or the spray can may
release gas, causing a fire hazard.

Pull up the lever to open the glove
box.
■Glove box light (if equipped)
The glove box light turns on when the
tail lights are on.

■Caution while driving
Keep the glove box closed. In the
event of sudden braking or sudden
swerving, an accident may occur due to an occupant being struck by the
open glove box or the items stored
inside.
Cup holders

■Items unsuitable for the cup
holder
Do not place anything other than cups or beverage cans in the cup holders.
Other items may be thrown out of the
holders in the event of an accident or
sudden braking and cause injury. If possible, cover hot drinks to prevent
burns.

■Bottle holders
●When storing a bottle, close the cap.
●The bottle may not be stored depend-
ing on its size or shape.
1 Slide the lid to the rear most
position. (vehicles with a slide
function)
2 Lift the lid while pulling up the
knob.
■Slide function (if equipped)
The console box lid can be slid forward
or backward.

■Items unsuitable for the bottle holders
Do not place anything other than a
bottle in the bottle holders. Other items may be thrown out of the
holders in the event of an accident or
sudden braking and cause injury.

Keep the console box closed.
Injuries may result in the event of an
accident or sudden braking.

The cargo hooks are provided for
securing loose items.

■Caution while driving
Observe the following precautions
when putting items in the open tray. Failure to do so may cause items to
be thrown out of the tray in the event
of sudden braking or steering. In these cases, the items may interfere
with pedal operation or cause driver
distraction, resulting in an accident.
●Do not store items in the tray that
can easily shift or roll out.
●Do not stack items in the tray higher
than the tray’s edge.
●Do not put items in the tray that
may protrude over the tray’s edge.

To avoid injury, always return the
hooks to their stowed positions when not in use.

■Opening the deck board
Hatchback
Press the button to raise the deck
board handle and then lift the deck
board.
Wagon
Raise the deck board handle and
then lift the deck board.
■Changing the height of the
luggage compartment floor
(vehicles with a dual level
deck board)
By changing the position of the
deck board, the height of the lug-
gage compartment floor can be
changed.
1 Upper position
2 Lower position
■Securing the deck board
(hatchback)
Vehicles with a dual level deck
board: When the deck board is in
the lower position, it cannot be
secured in a lifted position.
WA R N I N G
■To prevent damage to the gro-
cery bag hooks
Hatchback: Do not hang any object
heavier than 2 kg (4.4 lb.) on the gro-
cery bag hooks.
Wagon: Do not hang any object heav- ier than 4 kg (8.8 lb.) on the grocery
bag hooks.
Deck board (if equipped)

When the luggage cover (if
equipped) is installed
Hook the deck board handle onto
the underside of the luggage cover
as shown in the illustration, to
secure the deck board.
When the luggage cover is not
installed
Hook the deck board handle onto
the upper edge of the back door
opening as shown in the illustration.
■Deck board (wagon)
The deck board can be flipped over and the inner side, which is easy to clean,
can be used.
Hatchback
Vehicles without deck board: Lift
the deck mat.
Vehicles with deck board: Press the
button to raise the deck board han-
dle and then lift the deck board.
WA R N I N G
■When changing the position of
the dual level deck board
Do not change the position of the deck board when luggage is placed
on top of it.
Doing so may lead to fingers getting pinched, etc.
NOTICE
■When the deck board is secured
Make sure not to close the back door when the deck board is hooked onto
the luggage cover or the back door
opening. Doing so may lead to dam- age to interior parts.
■When using the inner side of the deck board (wagon)
Make sure to place heavy and/or
sharp objects on the deck board gen- tly, and be sure to secure them so that
they do not move.
Failing to so do may lead to damage
to the surface of the deck board.

Front: Lift the deck board.
Rear: Raise the deck board handle
and then lift the deck board.

■Side tray separators
●The side tray separators can be
removed when the dual level deck board is in the lower position.
●Hatchback: The removed luggage side tray separators can be stored in
the luggage under tray (if equipped).
1 Unhook the cords.
2 Remove the cover from the anchors.
