Warning lights on

redSEAT BELTS NOT FASTENED
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The warning light switches on constantly with the
car stationary and the driver's or passenger side
seat belt (when the passenger is present) not
fastened.
The warning light flashes and a buzzer sounds if
the car is in motion and the front seat belts are
not correctly fastened.For permanent deactivation of the SBR (Seat Belt
Reminder) system buzzer, contact an Abarth
Dealership. The system can be reactivated using
the Setup Menu.
WARNING
60) If thewarning light turns on when travelling, stop the car immediately and contact an Abarth Dealership.
61) If, when turning the key to MAR-ON, the
warning light does not turn on or if it stays on when travelling, there
could be a fault in the restraint systems; in this event airbags or pretensioners may not be deployed in the event of
impact or, in a lower number of cases, they may deploy accidentally. Before driving off, contact an Abarth Dealership
to have the system checked immediately.
62) Failure of warning light
(warning light off) is indicated by warning lightwhich will blink for longer than the
normal 4 seconds indicating that the front passenger airbag is off.

When the key is turned to MAR-ON, the warning
light switches on but it should switch off after a
few seconds.
The warning light switches on to indicate a
system fault. In this case the braking system will
work as normal, but without the extra
performance offered by the ABS.

as soon as possible.
amberPASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEACTIVATED
The
warning light switches on when the front
passenger airbag is deactivated.
With the front passenger airbag enabled, when
the ignition key is turned to MAR-ON the warning
light
switches on constantly for about 4
seconds, flashes for another 4 seconds and then
should switch off.
If the warning light flashes, this indicates an
airbag warning light fault.Before driving off, contact an Abarth Dealership to
have the system checked immediately.63)

In normal conditions, when the ignition key is turned to
MAR-ON the warning light switches on, but it should
switch off as soon as the engine is started.

If the warning light stays on or switches on when driving,
it means that the injection system is not working
properly; in particular, if the warning light comes on
constantly, this indicates a malfunction in the supply/
ignition system that could cause excessive exhaust
emissions, a possible loss of performance, poor
driveability and high fuel consumption.
The display will show a specific message.Under these conditions, you may continue
travelling at a moderate speed without
demanding excessive effort from the
engine. Prolonged use of the car with the
warning light on constantly may cause
damage.
Contact an Abarth Dealership as soon as
possible.
If the warning light is flashing, this indicates that the
catalytic converter may be damaged.In this case, it is necessary to release the
accelerator pedal to lower the speed of
the engine until the warning light stops
flashing. Continue the journey at moderate
speed, trying to avoid driving conditions
that may cause further flashing and
contact an Abarth Dealership as soon as
possible.

amberELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
SYSTEM
When the ignition key is turned to MAR-ON, the
warning light switches on, but it should switch off
as soon as the engine is started.
The intervention of the system when driving is
indicated by the flashing warning light.
If the warning light does not go out or remains on
while driving, it indicates a failure in the ESC
system.
The display will show a specific message.Contact an Abarth Dealership as soon as
possible.
Hill Holder system failure
When the ignition key is turned to MAR-ON, the
warning light turns on but should switch off after a
few seconds.
The warning light turns on to indicate a Hill Holder
system failure.
The display will show a specific message.In this case, contact an Abarth Dealership as
soon as possible.
WARNING
63) Thewarning light indicates anywarning light faults. This condition is indicated by intermittent blinking of
warning light
for longer than 4 seconds. In this case, thewarning light may not indicate a fault in the restraint
systems. Before driving off, contact an Abarth Dealership to have the system checked immediately.

12) If, when the ignition key is turned to MAR-ON, thewarning light does not switch on, switches on constantly or
flashes when driving (on certain versions together with the message on the display), contact an Abarth Dealership
as soon as possible. The operation of
warning light may be checked by the traffic police using specific devices.
Always comply with the traffic regulations in force in the country where you are driving.

If the warning light stays on, you will not benefit
from the electric power steering and the effort
needed to turn the wheel will be significantly
increased, although it will still be possible to steer
the car.If the warning light stays on, contact an Abarth
Dealership as soon as possible.
