a. Disconnect the R37 ECU connector.
b. Measure the resistance of the position switch.

1.INSPECT BASIC OPERATION
a. When a door (driver, passenger, rear left or rear right door) is partially closed (ajar), check that the
motor operates so that the door is fully closed (locked).
b. After the above step, check that the door can be opened.

a. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock link.

7.REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT
a. Remove the cotter pin and lock cap.
b. While depressing the brake pedal, remove the nut.

27.INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT
a. While applying brakes, use a socket wrench (32 mm) to install the nut.
Torque: 290 N.m, (2,960 kgf.cm, 214 ft.lbf)
b. Install the lock cap and a new cotter pin.
If the holes for the cotter pin are not ali
gned, tighten the nut a further 10°.
