- Release the two front side handles13 .
- Remove the hard top and carefully place it on a clean and stable stand. - From the boot, manually open the
hood cover 10. To do this, remove
the cap and turn the control aquarter turn clockwise using thewheelbrace. Remove the wheel-brace, close the boot and hold thehood cover 10open using the sec-
ond strap 2.
- Remove the two side brackets 12
using the 17 mm flat spanner 6.
- Connect connector 8to the har-
ness connector located behind theside flap 14on the right hand side
of the rear shelf (if the connectionis not made, the hood and blowerwill not operate).
- Remove the retaining straps 2
from the hood cover 10and from
the side flaps 7.
- Close the hood cover 10manually.
- Switch on the ignition.
- Close the hood and the windows.

2 Before folding the hood into its housing, ensurethat it has been brushedand dried to remove any
moisture and that the rear screen
is folded correctly.
To prevent damage to the hood cover and the boot, the boot mustbe closed during the hood coverlowering and raising operations. Although the hood cover may appear to support itself in the ver-tical position, it must be securedusing a strap.
Take extreme care when handling the hard top to avoid scratching ordamaging it. Do not lean the hard top against a wall or place it in an unstableposition. Store the hard top on a stand in a clean, dry environment and coverit. When the hood has been folded for a long time, ask a PEUGEOTdealer to remove any creases. Imperative The hard top heated rear screen harness must be connected at alltimes. If the harness is not con-nected significant damage mayresult from accidental operation.
The ignition must be switched off for all operations.
(except during the hood cover manoevring phase for the electric hood).

- Secure the two side brackets 12to
the vehicle using the 17mm span- ner 6.
- Disconnect connector 8from the
harness located behind the sideflap 14on the right hand side of
the rear shelf. - Remove the retaining strap
2from
the hood cover 10.
- From the boot, close the hood cover 10manually. To do this,
remove the cap and turn the con-trol a quarter turn anti-clockwiseusing the wheelbrace. Remove thewheelbrace, reposition the capand close the boot.
Take care not to trap the harness.
- Carefully position the hard top: place the front edge of the roof incontact with the seal of the uppersection of the windscreen. Position the rear section of the roof on the side brackets 12.

Before folding the hood into its housing, ensurethat it has been brushedand dried to remove anymoisture and that the

GENERAL FUNCTIONS On / off
With the ignition key in the ACCESSORIES or IGNITION position, press the "ON/VOL"button to switch the set
on or off. ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM
The first time you use the set following disconnection of the set or the battery, you must enter the confidential code which was given to you on handover of your vehicle. Entering the code Switch the set on. The display shows "CODE"then the set changes over to code request mode and " - - - -" is displayed.
Enter your four-digitcode number using buttons " 1" to " 6".
For example: if your code is 5345 press buttons " 5", " 3", " 4" and " 5" in turn.
When the fourth number has been entered correctly, the radio starts automatically.
Error in entering the code
If an error is made when entering one of the first three digits, do not continue the operation and switch off the radio to prevent blocking it. Each incorrect code entry will result in the set being blocked for a period of from 5 seconds to 30 minutes, after
the 7th incorrect entry.
To unblock the set, leave it switched on during the waiting period. When " - - - -" is displayed, you can enter the
code again.
If the set is switched off during the waiting period, this waiting period will restart when the set is switched on again. After incorrectly inputting the code 14 times, the radio will be permanently locked and the display will read " END".
ADJUSTING THE SOUND Adjusting the volume
Turn the "ON/VOL" button to increase or decrease the volume of the set.
If the radio overheats, the volume reduces. If an attempt is made to increase the volume the message " TOO HOTÕÕ
appears on the display. Note If you have a telephone fitted with a Ò muteÓ signal output connected to the set, the set will automatically change
to Ò mute Ó when the telephone is used.

AUDIO SETTINGS Press the Ò AUDIOÓ button several times to select bass (BASS), treble (TREB) , loudness (LOUD), fader (FAD) and
balance (BAL).
Exit from audio mode is automatic after a few seconds, without pressing any button or by pressing the Ò AUDIOÓ
button after adjusting the balance. Note : bass and treble settings are specific to each source. It is possible to set them differently for radio,
cassette and CD. Bass setting When Ò BASSÓ is displayed, press the Ò GÓ or Ò HÓ buttons to vary the setting.
-Ò BASS -9 Ó for a minimum bass setting,
-Ò BASS 0 Ó for a normal position,
-Ò BASS +9 Ó for a maximum bass setting.
Treble settingWhen Ò TREBÓ is displayed, press the Ò GÓ or Ò HÓ buttons to vary the setting.
-Ò TREB -9 Ó for a minimum treble setting,
-Ò TREB 0 Ó for a normal position,
-Ò TREB +9 Ó for a maximum treble setting.
Adjusting the loudness
This function automatically emphasises bass and treble tones when the volume is low. Press the ÒGÓor ÒHÓ buttons to switch this function on or off.
Setting the front/rear sound distribution (Fader) When Ò FA DÓ is displayed, press the Ò GÓ or Ò HÓ buttons to vary the setting.
The Ò GÓ button increases the volume at the front.
The Ò HÓ button increases the volume at the rear.
Note : For vehicles fitted with speakers at the front only, it is possible to cancel or add this function. This
operation is carried out as follows:
- Ignition key in Accessories position,
- With the radio switched off,
- Simultaneously pressing buttons ÒIÓet ÒMÓ .
