(1) Ala kayta pesinta yhtamittaisesti yli 20 sekunnin ajan. Moottori saattaa vaurioitua, jos pesinta kaytetaan neste­
sailion ollessa tyhja. (2) Ala kayta pyyhkimia lasin ollessa kuiva. Pyyhkimien sulat
ole jaatyneet lasiin. Paikoilleen jaatyneet pyyhkimet saat­
tavat vaurioittaa moottoria.' (3) Tarkista aina kylmalla saalla etteivat pyyhkimien sulat ole
jaatyneet lasiin. Paikoilleen jaatyne
et pyyhkimet saattavat
vaurioittaa moottoria. (4) Jos jaa tai lumi estaa pyyhkimi en vapaan liikkumisen ,
saattaa moottori vaurioitua , vaikka kytkin kaannetaankin

sammuta virta ja puhdista lasit. niin etta pyyhkimet paase­vat toimimaan esteettomasti. (5) Jos pesinta kaytetaan kylmalla ilmalla, saattaa lasille suih­kutettu neste jaatya ja haitata nakyvyytta. Pesimen kaytto on suositeltavaa vasta kun lammityslaite on laniminanyt lasin.
Precautions to observe when using wipers and
washers EE13C-A
(1) Avoid using the washer continuously for more than 20 seconds. Do not operate the washer when the fluid reser­voir is empty. The motor may burn out. (2) Do not use the wipers when the glass is dry . They may
scratch the glass surface or their blades may be prematurely worn out. (3) Before using the wipers in cold weather, check that the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass _ Th e motor may
burn out if the wipers are used with the blades frozen. (4) If the moving wipers become blocked by ice or other deposits on the glass , the motor may burn out even if the wiper switch is at "OFF" . If obstruction occurs , park your vehicle in a safe place , turn off the ignition, and clean the
deposits from the glass so that the
wipers operate smoothly. (5) If the washer is used in cold weather, the washer fluid sprayed against the glass might freeze resulting in poor visibility_ Heat the glass with a heater (defroster or de ­
mister) before using the washer .

Hazard warning flasher switch EE16A-A Use the hazard warning flasher switch when the vehicle has to be parked on the road for any emergency.
The hazard warning flashers can always be operated, regardless of the position of the ignition key.
Push the switch to turn on the hazard warning flashers; push the switch again to turn them off.When this switch is
operated , all turn-signal lamps flash continuously, as do the hazard warning indication lamp and the turn-signal in­dication lamps .

Takalaain lammitin laitetaan paalle kat­
kaisinta painamalla. Se katkaistaan pai­
namalla katkaisinta uudelleen.
Merkkivain (A) palaa lammittimen toi­siessa.
HUOM (1) Mikali ajoneuvossanne on lammitetyt peilit, takalasin huur­teenpoistimen ollessa paalla sahkba virtaa mybs ulkopuo­listen taustapeilien lampbjbhtoihin poistaen taten huurteen
tai laan .
(2) Akun saastamiseksi alkaa kayttakb lammitinta kayn­
nistaessanne moottoria, alkaaka mybskaan moottorin seisoessa.
Kaantakaa katkaisin pois paalta valittbmasti ikkunan kirk­
astuttua.
(3) Puhdistaessanne takalasia sisaltapain kayttakaa pehmeata
kangasta liikuttaen sita varovasti lammitysjohtojen suun­
taan valttaaksenne niiden vioittumisen. NOTE

The rear window demister switch can be
operated with the ignition switch at the "ON" position.
To turn on the rear
window demister,
press the switch. To turn off the demister
press the switch once again .
The indication lamp(A) will illuminate while the demister is on .
(1) To avoid unnecessary discharge
of the battery, do not use
the rear window demister during starting of the engine or when the engine is not running. Turn the demister off immediately after the window is clear.
(2) When cleaning the insid e of the rear window, use a soft cloth and wipe gently along the heater wires, being careful not to damage the wires. (3) If an object is placed near the rear window, it might touch the wires due to vehicle vibration possibly resulting in
broken wires.

tala paine lisiiii kitkaa ja polttoaineenkulutusta aiheuttaen niiin myos renkaiden ennenaikaista kulumista. (7) Kuormitus Alkiiii pitiiko tarpeettomia esineitii matkatavaratilassa. Li­
siipaino lisiiii polttoaineenkulutusta huomattavasti, erityi­
sesti kaupunkiajossa useine pysiiyksineen ja liikkelle liih ­
toineen.

Jos hinaatte periivaunua, tulee teidiin asennuttaa maanne la­
kien vaatimukset tayttiiva hinauskoukku valtuutetussa MITSU­
B I SH I huoltokorjaamossa . Hinausta koskevat siiiinnokset saat­
tavat vaihdella maasta maahan, joten nou-dattakaa oman maanne siiiidoksiii. Hinatessanne perii-vaunua kiinnittiikiiii h~miota seuraaviin asioihin:

(5) Speed The higher the vehicle speed, the more fuel consumed. Avoid driving at full speed. Even a slight release of the
accelerator pedal will save a significant amount of fuel. (6) Tyre inflation pressure Check the tyre inflation pressure at regular intervals . Low tyre inflation pressures increase road resistance and fuel consumption. I n addition, low tyre pressures adversely
affect tyre wear and driving control. (7) Load Do not drive with unnecessary articles in the luggage compartment. Especially during city driving where frequent starting and stopping is necessary , the increased weight of the vehicle will greatly affect fuel consumption. Also avoid driving with unnecessary luggage, etc., on the roof; the
increased air resistance will cause more fuel consumption. (8) Cold engine starting Starting of a cold engine consumes more fuel. Unnecessary
fuel consumption is also caused by keeping a hot engine running. After the engine is started , begin driving soon.

In order to tow a trailer with your vehicle , have a trailer towing device that meets all pertinent regulations in your area mounted at an authorized MITSUBISHI dealer .
The regulations concerning the towing of a trailer may differ from country to country. It is recommended that you obey the
regulations in your area.
If you are going to tow a trailer , pay careful attention to the following points.

(4) Alkaa kaantako avainta asentoon "START" kun moottori kay, silla kaynnistysmoottori voi va­hingoittua.

& CAUTION (1) Do not remove the ignition key from the ignition switch while driving. The steering wheel will be locked, causing loss of control. (2) If the engine is stopped while driving, the brake servomechanism will cease to function and braking efficiency will deteriorate. Also, power steering system will not function and it will require greater manual effort to operate the steering. (3) Do not leave the key in the "ON" position for a long time when the engine is not running; doing so will cause the battery to be discharged. (4) Do not turn the key to the "START" position when the engine is running; doing so could damage the starter motor.

How to lock and unlock the
steering wheel EIOIB· G
TO LOCK
Remove the key at the "LOCK" position. Slightly turn the steering wheel until it is
locked.
TO UNLOCK
Turn the key to the "ACe position while moving the steering wheel slightly.
& CAUTION Remove the key when leaving the vehicle.
