tevuussaadbn kytkinta samanaikai­
sesti 1 -2 sekunnin ajan. Pohjoisen ­
merkinta (W-N-E), mittakaava ja
kulkusuuntaa ilmaiseva pilkku tule­vat nakyviin. Tallbin jako asteikolla muuttuu 22.5' asteesta 5' astee­
seen.
1 -Suuntasaadbn kytkin 2-Kaltevuussaadbn kytkin 3 -Kulkusuuntaa ilmaiseva pilkku
2. Joka kerta kun kaltevuussaadbn kytkinta painetaan, kulkusuuntaa il­maiseva pilkku liikkuu vastapaivaan
yhden asteen erissa ja pysahtyy
kohtaan 5 astetta lanteen.

1. Press the azimuth adjustment switch and declination adjustment switch simultaneously for one to two seconds, and the indication of the north (W-N-E), scale and direction -of-travel indicating dot will appear. At that time, a gradua­tion is changed from 22.5' to 5'.

2. Every time the declination adjust­ment switch is pressed, the direction-of-travel indicating dot moves anti-clockwise in increments
of 1 graduation and stops at five
degrees wet. (Continuous pressing
of declination adjustment switch moves the direction-of-travel indi­cating dot automatically. Release
the switch, and the dot will stop right there.)
3. Press the azimuth adjustment switch for one to two seconds, and
the direction-of-travel indicating dot will blink at the stopped posi­tion. If the dot stops blinking and stays on, the adjustment is completed .

Jos jarrujen varoitusvalo ei syty, kun vediitte kiisijarrun piiiille,
tai ei sammu vaikka vipu vapautetaan , ottakaa viilittomiisti yhteys liihimpiiiin valtuutettuun M ITSU B I SH 1-huoltamoon,
Jos jarrujen varoitusvalo palaa ajaessanne, se saattaa merkitii
vikaa jarrujiirjestelmiissii, Pysiikoikiiii ajoneuvonne turvalliseen
paikkaan ja noudattakaa seuraavia toimenpiteitii,

pressed, the hazard warning indication lamp,

indication lamps , and all turn­
signal lamps will flash on and off continuously,

With the ignition switch in the "ON" position,
the brake
warning lamp illuminates under the
following conditions:
(1) When the parking brake lever has been applied ,
(2) When the brake fluid level in the reservoir falls to low level.
(3) If a malfunction develops in the brake servosystem (Diesel-
powered vehicles only) (4) If the brake warning lamp and charge warning lamp come on at the same time while the engine is running, it is possible that the fan belt is broken, (Diesel-powered vehicles only)
If the brake warning lamp does not light when you pull the
parking brake lever, or if it does not go out when you release the
lever, contact your nearest authorized MITSUBISHI dealer
immediately,
If the brake warning lamp lights while driving, it could mean
braking system deterioration, Park your vehicle in a safe place
using the following procedures ,

The angle of theheadlamp illumination varies depending upon the load carried by the vehicle.
The head lamp leveling switch can be
used to adjust the headlamp illumination distance (when the lower beam is illu­minated) so that the headlamps' glare
does not distract the drivers of ap­proaching vehicles.
Set the switch (referring to the table) to the appropriate position according to the number of people and the load in the vehicle.

Kun vedatte vipua itseanne kohti Iyhyen aikaa, pyyhkijat toimi­

Headlight washer switch* EE02A·Bc
The headlight washer can be operated with the ignition switch at the "ON" position and the light switch at the on
position.
Push the
button once and the washer fluid will be sprayed on to the headlights for about 0.5 seco nd.
(1) Check the headlight wash ers periodically to confirm that the washer fluid is being sprayed properly on to th e
headlight lenses. (2) If the low- h eadlight washer fluid warning lamp illumi­
nates , fill the tank with washer fluid at the earliest opportunity,
Windscreen wiper and washer switch EE13A·B
The windscreen wiper and washer can be operated with the ignition switch in the "ON" or "ACe" position. Move the switch to operate the windscreen wipers or spray the washer fluid. Lightly pulling the lever toward you causes the wipers to operate once (misting function).

Precautions to observe when using wipers and
washers EE13C-A
(1) Avoid using the washer continuously for more than 20 seconds. Do not operate the washer when the fluid reser­voir is empty. The motor may burn out. (2) Do not use the wipers when the glass is dry . They may
scratch the glass surface or their blades may be prematurely worn out. (3) Before using the wipers in cold weather, check that the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass _ Th e motor may
burn out if the wipers are used with the blades frozen. (4) If the moving wipers become blocked by ice or other deposits on the glass , the motor may burn out even if the wiper switch is at "OFF" . If obstruction occurs , park your vehicle in a safe place , turn off the ignition, and clean the
deposits from the glass so that the
wipers operate smoothly. (5) If the washer is used in cold weather, the washer fluid sprayed against the glass might freeze resulting in poor visibility_ Heat the glass with a heater (defroster or de ­
mister) before using the washer .

Katalysaattori asennetaan pakokaasujar ­
jestelmaan .
Koska
se kuumenee ajon jalkeen, seuraavat kohdat tulisi turval­
lisuussyista ottaa huomioon. • Alkaa pysakoiko autoa helposti palavien materiaalien la-
heisyyteen .
• Katalysaattoria ei
saa valimaalata.
Itse katalysaattori kuumenee helposti ja se saattaa vahingoittua ylikuumenemisesta. Seuraavia kohtia pitaa noudattaa palamat­
toman
bensiinin syttymisen ehkaisemiseksi katalysaattorin
sisalla.
• Alkaa
sammuttako virtakytkinta ajon aikana .
• Alkaa KOSKAAN yrittako kaynnistaa moottoria tyontamalla autoa. Jos akku on heikko tai tyhja , kayttakaa
toista akkua kaynnistamiseen.
• Pysayttakaa
auto, jos huomaatte tehon heikenneen tai jos moottori pyorii tarpeettomasti tai huomaatte jotain muuta vikaa esimerkiksi sytytyksessa jne.
• Jos on mahdotonta pysayttaa auto heti, vahentakaa no­peutta ja jatkakaa ajoa vain Iyhyen matkan. Tarkastuttakaa auto lahimmassa MITSUBISHI-huoltoliikkeessa niin pian kuin mahdollista.
• Alkaa ryntayttako moottoria silloin kun sammutatte vir­takytkimen jotta katalysaattorei vaurioituisi palamatto­masta bensiinista .

For ordinary use, there are no particular cautions except to use unleaded petrol.
The exhaust gas scavenging device with catalytic converter is extremely efficient for the reduction of noxious gases . The catalytic converter is installed in the ex­haust gas system .
Because it becomes
hot after driving, the following points shou ld be noted for safety.
• Do not park the vehicle on or near easily flammable
materials.
•
An undercoating paint should not be applied to the cata-
lyti c converter.

damaged if overheated. The following points should be noted in order to prevent the ignition of unburned petrol within the catalytic converter.
• Do not switch OFF the ignition switch while driving. • Do not try to start the engine by pushing the vehicle. If the battery is weak or discharged . us e another battery to start
the engine.
• Stop driving the vehicle if you think the performance is noticeably less , or that there is unnecessary engine rota­tion, or any other engine trouble, such as with the ignition, etc.
• If it is impractical to stop driving immediately, reduce the speed and drive for only a short time. Have an inspection made by a nearby authorized MITSUBISHI dealer as soon as possible .
• Do not race the engine when turning off the ignition switch to prevent catalytic converter from being damaged due to unburnt gas.
