If a tire goes flat, avoid further tire and wheel damage by driving slowly to
a level place. Turn on your hazard warning flashers.

The following steps will tell you how to use the jack and change a tire.

Rotate the plastic
wing
nut and
remove the cover.
2. Remove the wing
nut that secures the
jack and wheel wrench and remove
them
from the
trunk.

to the jack
bolt and rotate it
clockwise. That will
raise the lift head a
little.

4. There is a center
wheel cover
on your
aluminium wheel.
Using the flat end
of the wheel
wrench, gently pry
the cover
off. Be
careful not to
scratch the
aluminum wheel 1
edge. Don't try to
remove it with your
hands.

wrench loosen all
the wheel nuts.
Don't remove them
yet.
6. Position the jack
under the vehicle.
Your vehicle has a
notch on the frame
near each
of the
wheels (A-front and
B-rear). Fit the lift
head into the notch
nearest the wheel
with the flat tire.
A CAUTION
Getting under a vehicle when it is jacked up is dangerous. If the
vehicle
slips off the jack, you could be badly injured or killed.
Never get under
a vehicle when it is supported only by a jack.

Raise the vehicle by
rotating the
wheel
wrench clockwise.
Raise the vehicle
far
enough off the
ground so the tire
can
be removed.
Remove all the
wheel
nuts and take
off the flat tire.

9. Remove any rust
or dirt from
the
wheel bolts,
mounting surfaces
and spare wheel.
Place the spare
on
the wheel
mounting surface.

nuts
with the
rounded end
of the
nuts toward the
wheel. Tighten
each
nut by hand
until the wheel is
held against the
hub.
11. Lower the vehicle
by rotating the
wheel wrench counterclockwise.
Lower the jack
completely.

nuts firmly in
a
criss-cross
sequence
as shown.
Don’t
try to put a wheel cover on your compact spare tire. It won’t fit.
Store the wheel cover in the trunk until you have the flat tire repaired or
replaced.
NOTICE:
Wheel covers won’t fit on your compact spare. If you try to put a
wheel cover
on your compact spare, you could damage the cover
or the compact spare.
