Drain the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) im-
mediately after stopping the engine (before the ATF
cools).
(1) Raise and support the vehicle.

wheel bearings. XJ vehicles have semi-floating axle
shafts and axle shaft bearings that are lubricated via
differential lube oil.
