X Check whether thelockin gknobs onthe
front -passenger doorandtherear doors are
still visible. Pressdownthelockin gknobs by
hand, ifnecessary.
X Close thedriver's door.
X Take themechanic alkey outofthe Smart -
Key (Ypage 71).
X Insert themechanic alkey into thelock of
the driver's doorasfar asitwill go. X
Turn themechanic alkey clock wiseasfar as
it will gotoposition 0047.
X Turn themechanic alkey back andremove
it.
X Make surethatthedoors andthetailgate
are locked.
X Insert mechanic alkey into theSmart Key

during automatic closingofthe tailgate.
Moreover, people,e.g.children, maybe
standin gin the closing areaormay enter the
closing areaduring theclosing process.

Use oneofthe following optionstostop the
closing process:
R press the0054 button onthe Smart Key.

on the driver's door.
