possible

emergency
call
in
highly
adverse

tions.

Manual
triggering

the

is
illuminated

cancellation
request
is
displayed

the Control

emergency
call
is
made
via
BMW, data

centre

of
the
vehicle,
if
this
can
be
determined.
If
questions
asked
by
the
emergency
call centre
remain
unanswered,
rescue
measures
are
implemented
automatically.
Even
if
the
vehicle
occupants
can
no
longer hear
the
emergency
call
centre
through
theloudspeakers,
the
emergency
call
centre
may
still
be
able
to
hear
the
vehicle
occupants
speak.
The
emergency
call
centre
ends
the
emergency
call.
Fire
extinguisher
Principle
The
fire
extinguisher
can
be
used
to
put
out
vehij
cle
fires.
General
Depending
on
the
vehicle's
equipment
and
the
country
variant,
the
vehicle
may
have
a
fire
extinj
guisher.

located
at
the
front
of
thefront
passenger
seat.

Stowing
the
fire
extinguisher
1.Insert
the
fire
extinguisher
into
the
holder.2.Hook
in
and
close
the
buckles.
Maintenance
and
refilling
Have
the
fire
extinguisher
checked
every

the
manufacturer
or

Make
a
note
of
the
next
maintenance
date
for the
fire
extinguisher.
Replace
the

extinguisher
after
use

Conduct
after
an
accident

After
an
accident,
take
the
following

regarding
the
high-voltage
system:

the
area
where
the
accident
has taken
place.'xInform

ambulance
service
immediately
that

involves

vehicle
with
a high-voltage

Preparations
1.Check
whether
the
battery
in
the
other
vehij
cle
shows
12
volts.
Information
about
the
voltage
is
provided
on
the
battery.2.Switch
off
the
engine
of

other
vehicle.3.Switch
off
any
power
consumers
in
both
vej
hicles.Jump-starting
connections
The
jump-starting
connection
in
the
engine compartment
serves
as
the
positive
battery
terj
minal.
Open
the
cover
of
the
jump-starting
connection.
A
special
connection
on
the
body
serves
as
batj tery
negative
terminal.
Connecting
the
cables Before
starting,
switch
off
all
unnecessary
power
consumers,
for
example
the
radio,
on
both
vehij
cles.

Establishing
drive-ready
state
1.Start
the
engine
of
the
other
vehicle
and
alj
low
it
to
run
for
a
few
minutes
at
a
slightly higher
idle
speed.2.Establish
drive-ready
state
in
the
normal
way
in
the
vehicle
to
be
started.
If
an
initial
attempt
to
start
the
engine
fails, wait
a
few
minutes
before
trying
again
to
alj
low
the
discharged
battery
to
recharge.3.Disconnect
the
jump
leads
in
reverse
order
to connection.
Check
the
battery
and
have
it
recharged
if
necj
essary.
Tow-starting
and
towing
