Temperature
Principle
The
automatic
air
conditioning
adjusts
to
the
set temperature
as
quickly
as
possible,
using
maxij mum
cooling
or
heating
power
if
necessary.
Thetemperature
is
then
maintained.
Adjusting Press

right
side
of
the
button:
reduce
or
increase
temperature.
The
selected
temperature
is
shown
on
the
disj
play
for
the
automatic
air
conditioning.
Avoid
switching
between
different
temperature
settings
in
rapid
succession.
The
automatic
air
conditioning
may
not
have
sufficient
time
to
esj
tablish
the
temperature
selected.
AUTO
programme
Principle
The
air
flow,
air
distribution
and
temperature
are
automatically
regulated.

Depending

Ambient
Air
package
Principle
With
the
Ambient
Air
Package,
the
interior
air
can be
cleaned
and
subtly
perfumed
with
high-qualjity
scents.
Ionisation
cleans
the
air
by
removing
suspended
particles.
Together
with
the
selected
scent,
ionij
sation
contributes
to
well-being
and
relaxation
during
the
journey.
General
It
is
possible
to
choose
between
two
scents
in the
vehicle.
Additional
scents
are
possible
by
exj changing
the
scent
cartridges.
The
following
criteria
can
influence
scent
perj ception
inside
the
vehicle:
'xSettings
of
the
automatic
air
conditioning.'xTemperature
and
humidity.'xTime
of
day
and
season.'xPhysical
condition
of
the
vehicle
occupants,
for
example
fatigue.
BMW
recommends
using
genuine
BMW
scent cartridges.
Genuine
BMW
scent
cartridges
are
not
refillable, and
must
be
replaced
by
new
scent
cartridges
after
they
are
used
up.
Safety
note
WARNING
Refilled
BMW
scent
cartridges
may
emit
harmj
ful
substances,
lead
to
malfunctions
and
cause damage
to
the
system.
There
is
a
risk
of
injuryor
material
damage.
Do
not
replenish
scent
carjtridges;
once
they
are
used
up,
replace

new
scent

the
system
cools,

heats

depending

temperature.

snow
and
ice
can

standing
air
conditioning

switched

off

preselected
departuretime.

Principle
To
ensure
a
pleasant
interior
temperature
in
the
vehicle

the
start

departure
times.

switch-on
time
is
automatically
determined
from

temperature.
Departure
time

day
of
the

the
week
can
be
set.
The
system
is
switched
on
in

time
before the

time

days
of

preselection
is
done
in

Integrated
universal
remotecontrol
Principle
The
universal
remote
control
integrated
in
the
rear-view
mirror
can
be
used
to
operate
up

functions
of
radio-controlled
systems;
for
exj ample,
garage
door
drives,
barriers
or
lightingsystems.
General
The
integrated
universal
remote
control
replaces
up
to
3
different
hand-held
remotes.
To
use
the
opener,
the
buttons
on
the
rear-view
mirror
must be
programmed
with
the
desired
functions.
Thehand-held
remote
of
the
relevant
system
is
neejded
for
programming.
If
you
sell
the
vehicle,
delete
the
saved
functions
beforehand
for
your
own
security.
If
possible,
do
not
attach
the
aerial
of
the
radio- controlled
system,
for
example
the
garage
door
drive,
near
to
metallic
objects;
this
is
to
ensure optimum
functioning.

Parts
