General
The
alarm
system
responds
to
the

the

for
instance
if
an
attempt
is
made
to
jack
it
up
and
steal the
wheels
or
to
raise
it

OBD.'xThe
vehicle
is
locked
while
a

Switching
on/off
The
alarm

doors

the
alarm
system

switched

The
alarm
system
is
triggered
on
opening
a
door
if
the
door
has
been
unlocked
using
the
integrated
key
in
the
door
lock.
Opening
the
boot
lid
with
the
alarm
system
switched
on
The
boot
lid
can
be
opened
even
with
the
alarm
system
switched
on.
On
closing
the
boot
lid,
it
is
locked
again
and monitored,
as
long
as
the
doors
are
locked.
The
hazard
warning
lights
flash
once.
Indicator
lamp
on
the
rear-view
mirror

Anti-trap
mechanism
Principle
The
anti-trap
mechanism
prevents
objects
or
parts
of
the
body
from
becoming
trapped
bej
tween
the
door
frame
and
window
while
a
winj dow
is
being
closed.
General
If
resistance
or
a
blockage
is
detected
while
a window
is
being
closed,
the
closing
operation
isinterrupted.
The
window
is
opened
slightly.
Safety
note
WARNING
Accessories
on
the
windows,
for
example
aerj ials,
can
impair
the
anti-trap
mechanism.
There is
a
risk
of
injury.
Do
not
attach
any
accessorieswithin
the
area
of
movement
of
the
windows.
Closing
without
the
anti-trap
mechanism
If
an
external
hazard
or
ice
prevents
you
from
closing
the
windows
normally,
proceed
as
folj
lows:
1.

Pull
the
switch
past
the
resistance
point
and
hold
it
there.
The
window
is
closed
but
with
limited
anti- trap
function.
If
the
closing
force
exceeds
acertain
level,
the
closing
operation
is
interrupj
ted.2.

Pull
the
switch
past

resistance
point
again
within
approximately
4
seconds and
hold
it
in
this
position.

Number
of
seat
belts

belt
buckles
For
the
safety
of
the
vehicle
occupants,
the
vehij
cle
is
equipped
with
four
seat
belts.
However,
they
can
only
provide
effective
protection
when
worn
correctly.
General Before
each
journey,
always
make
sure
that
alloccupants
have
fastened
their
seat
belts.
The
airbags
supplement
the
seat
belts
as
an
addij tional
safety
device.
The
airbags
are
not
a
substij
tute
for
the
seat
belts.
The
belt
anchorage
is
suitable
for
adults
of
any
stature
if
the
seat
is
adjusted
correctly.
Safety
notes
WARNING
If
a
seat
belt
is
used
by
more
than
one
person
at
the
same
time,
the
protective
function
of
the
seat
belt
is
no
longer
guaranteed.
There
is
a risk
of
injury
or
even
death.
Only
one
person
should
use
each
seat
belt
at
any
one
time.
Do not
allow
infants
and
children
to
travel
on
the
lap
of
another
occupant.
Instead,
secure
the
inj fant
or
child
in
a
child
restraint
system

protective

the
seat
belts

even
fail
completely
if
the

worn

or
carrying

evasive

Make
sure
that
all
vehicle
occupants
have
fasj
tened
their
seat
belts
correctly.
WARNING
Seat
belts
are
designed
to
bear
upon
the
bony structure
of
the
body
and
should
be
worn
low
across
the
front
of
the
pelvis,
or
the
pelvis,
chest
and
shoulders,
as
applicable.
Wearing
the
lap
section
of
the
belt
across
the
abdominal
area
must
be
avoided.
Seat
belts
should
be
adjusted
as
firmly
as
posj
sible,
consistent
with
comfort,
to
provide
the
protection
for
which
they
have
been
designed.
A
slack
belt
will
greatly
reduce
the
protection
afforded
to
the
wearer.
Care
should
be
taken
to
avoid
contamination
of
the
webbing
by
polishes,
oils
and
chemicals and
particularly
battery
acid.
Cleaning
maysafely
be
carried
out
using
a
mild
soap
and
wajter
solution.
The
belt
should
be
replaced
if
webbing
becomes
frayed,
contaminated
or damaged.
Seat
belts
should
not
be
worn
with
straps
twisted.
Each
seat
belt
assembly
must
only
be
used
by
one
occupant;
it
is
forbidden
to put
a
belt
around
a
child
being
carried
on
theoccupant's
lap.
It
is
essential
to
replace
the
entire
assembly
afj ter
it
has
been
worn
in
a
severe
impact
even
if
damage
to
the
assembly
is
not
obvious.
